Every college program needs a good point guard to run the show from out top. Who are some players we were able to see this weekend from the LBI Carolina Jam Fest ?
Asia Graves Asia Graves 5'4" | PG Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2022 State SC (2022) – Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS – SC Future 17U
Graves really knows how to set the table for her team from the point guard position. Graves plays the game very under control at all times and really doesn’t look to force passes. Graves at times needs to recognize the situation around her to push the ball up the floor. Graves has the ability to knockdown open shots on the floor. Graves averaged 7 ppg this past season for the Bruinettes (14-2).
Kristynn Knight Kristynn Knight 5'6" | PG Winston Salem Christian | 2022 State NC (2022) – Cardinal Newman – SC76ers 17U Premier
Knight a left-handed point guard plays the game extremely hard when on the floor. Knight picked up a offer back during the high season from Central Arkansas University. Knight is crafty with the ball in her hands and has the ability to get the ball up the floor in transition. Kristynn will get the rock into the gaps and find a open teammate for a good look at the basket. Knight is a pass first point guard with a very energetic attitude on the floor. Knight helped the Cardinals win a SCISA Class 3A State Championship this past February.
Quadaija Langley Quadaija Langley 5'6" | CG Blue Ridge | 2022 State SC (2022) – Blue Ridge HS – SC76ers 17U Premier (pictured on front)
Langley really can defend on the ball and create havoc. Quadaija has a great mid-range game to knockdown shots and open the defense with her shooting ability. Langley isn’t afraid to sacrifice her body on the floor for a loose ball. Langley has a really good understanding of the game from out top. Langley averaged 19.9 ppg, 4.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 4.5 steals this past year for the Fighting Tigers (13-3).
This trio of guards will be nice additions for a college program down the road. #RecruitThePalmettoState
