The stories I give you are true, as I state numerous times THERE IS NO ME and I have forgotten more about this stuff that these who pose to be experts and it’s not because of early-onset dementia so when I drop knowledge it’s legit.
Tionna Herron Tionna Herron 6'3" | PF DeSoto | 2022 State TX -6’3 (Tem Lex Tar Heels) has already committed to Kentucky while her club and school teammate Jamia Harris Jamia Harris 5'7" | SG DeSoto | 2022 State TX is coming back from a knee injury. She too has committed, Texas Tech and both will play a big role in Desoto attempting to win B2B state championships, they’re the favorites but here are some other players that are back playing after injuries
Michayla Gatewood Michayla Gatewood 5'8" | PG DeSoto | 2022 State TX -5’8 PG (Team Lex Tarheels)
Gatewood, like Harris, has already committed to Texas Tech and like Harris, she too is coming back from a knee injury yet you would never it as she’s attacking from angles, making cuts, and finishing strongly after hard contact but she is a HEADY PG that understands how to control the tempo or push it and when you do what she’s doing in transition, making passes on the money as well as dropping the jumper, yeah she’s back and her vocal leadership is definitely helping set the tome
Ja’Nyla Kennedy Ja’Nyla Kennedy 5'8" | PF North Shore | 2022 State TX -5’10 PF (Skyrise Edmond)
Kennedy has gradually gotten back to where she was and her inside presence shows the desire she plays with as she continues to outrebound taller players. She also finishes on putbacks, attacking the basket off the dribble and facing the basket for the short jumpers but her interior defense is solid, so is her stepping outside the paint to apply pressure and with her “you won’t outwork me” mindset, she’s definitely sending messages
Jamyria Ramsey Jamyria Ramsey 5'6" | PG Weiss | 2022 State TX -5’4 PG (Austin Elite RFW)
Ramsey was tagged faster than a speeding bullet by me in middle school, her SWB, speed with the ball while staying under control has always been impressive, so has her first step which can be devastating and in the open court, just get back. She hurt her foot a few weeks ago, I had no idea she was just returning to the court and man was she clicking on all cylinders. The midrange was hard to deal with, you have to take chances because she has options on going by you if you’re too close or if you give her room, she can drop it. The long ball has always been a threat but the mid is just adding more to her impressive game and when you throw in her ability to see the floor, under pressure and make the right passes to the right people, good things will happen, expect her to move up considerably in the rankings
