PGH Great Lakes Challenge – 16U Players to Watch!

(MI): </strong>Lefler is an athletic, quick to the bucket, light feet on fast break type of point guard, who is very comfortable making big plays throughout the game! She can slither between multiple defenders, pressure doesn't phase her, and she produces points with her 3's, floaters in the lane, and capitalizing on transition. Excellent player with a bright future! <strong>Aubrey Sorrell- 5'11, 2023, Illinois Inferno 2023 Orange, Rushville H.S. (IL): </strong>Sorrell caught my eye- I really like her size, and her ability to play an inside/outside game. She moves well inside the paint, and able to score buckets on the block- but she's also a threat from mid range and 3's. She plays smart, rebounds strong, and has solid hands- she's ready to catch passes. Lots of potential! <strong>Haley Schnelten- 5'6, 2023, Illinois Inferno 2023 Orange, Carrollton H.S. (IL): </strong>Schnelten has a nice shooting touch! Does a nice job creating her own shot, has a smooth release, likes playing a high tempo game. Defensively she's also solid, stays with her opponent, doesn't allow easy looks, plays in the seam/ help side. She does the little things that add up to positives for the team! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244305" first="Hailey" last="Freshcorn"]- 5'5, 2024, MSF Flight 2023, Onsted H.S. (MI): </strong>Super high energy guard with light feet- her speed, excellent condition, and ability to run the offense makes her difficult to guard. She doesn't get tired! So this works to her advantage on the defensive end, and her ability to pick pockets, and stick to her opponent. No problem making buckets in the paint with contact, or pulling up for a 3! (MI) : </strong>Boy can this girl shoot the basketball! This lefty is extremely comfortable with her outside shot, and is deadly behind the arc! Gray has a quick release, and does a great job moving/ finding the open spots on the court. She creates many opportunities getting to the charity stripe- and is automatic. Handles the rock well, smart on transition- she's a tough player!
