Prep Girls Hoops was able to watch 16 teams play throughout the day and some a few times over. Lets dive into the coverage right here with some of the Top POST players from the 2022 Palmetto State Class right here.
Tatum Carr Tatum Carr 5'11" | C Cane Bay | 2022 State SC – Cane Bay HS (pictured on front)
Carr was great all day long with her play down in the paint. Tatum has not played on the Grassroots Circuit this Spring at all. Carr was even more effective running the floor and posting up against bigger post players. Carr moves very well around the paint and shows to have a good knack for receiving the ball down low.
Alicia Spann Alicia Spann 6'2" | C Sumter | 2022 State SC – Sumter HS
Spann is starting to show more confidence in her play. Spann 6’3 recently won a State Championship in the Discus while competing on the Track Team. Spann can really carve out space down low and looks to keep the ball up high after rebounding it. Alicia helped the Lady Gamecocks make it to the Class 5A State Championship Game last March before losing to Clover HS.
Aubrielle Harris Aubrielle Harris 6'0" | C Northwood Academy | 2022 State SC – Northwood Academy (Summerville)
Harris plays the game with her back to the basket for the Lady Chargers. Harris needs to be more assertive at times and did just that later in the day. Harris has good hands down low and decent footwork. Harris will be a instrumental part in the Chargers success this coming season for Head Coach Ginnell Curtis.
Airez Fobbs Airez Fobbs 5'10" | PF Rock Hill | 2022 State SC – Rock Hill HS
Fobbs and Anthony were a nice 1-2 punch in the paint for the Lady Bearcats today. Fobbs was able to fill the lane in transition and knockdown the short elbow-jumper. Fobbs runs the floor very well and remained extremely active away from the ball at all times.
