Here is a look at some of the top post players who put in work at the camp. These talented prospects did most of their work inside.
Morgan Luebbering Morgan Luebbering 6'1" | SF Fatima | 2022 State MO 6’3″ Fatima: A 2022 forward who has excellent length to go with her height. She moves well up and down the court and was able to get buckets in transition on some impressive rim runs. She catches the ball very well around the basket and she has a nice shooting touch.
Nevada Strother 5’11″ Barstow: A 2024 power forward who was a force on the defensive end with her strength and shot blocking ability. If a shot was taken in her area, she was trying to block it and she had her share of swats during the two days. She is also an active rebounder who can score in close.
Anna Wakeland 6’2″ Hillsboro: A 2023 forward who used her length and timing to block shots around the basket and rebound effectively at both ends. She catches the ball well in traffic and can score with her soft shooting touch. She even stepped out and hit a few 3-pointers.
Mary Copeland 5’11″ Polo: A 2022 forward with very fundamentals in the low post. She sits down and shapes up well and give a good target for the guards to throw it into her. She has good moves and fakes inside and she can also turn and face to make a strong move to the basket and score.
Cadence Huffman 6’6″ Lee’s Summit West: The 2024 was the tallest player at the showcase and she makes good use of her size in the low blocks. What I like is that when she catches the ball, it rarely goes below her shoulders where the guards can get at it. She keeps it up and she finishes by using the glass. She seals her defender well in the post and her drop step is solid.
