Tyah Pettaway Tyah Pettaway 5'6" | PG Middletown | 2022 State New E / 5”6/ PG/ Middletown High school/ CT Cobras/ 22”
Any Mid major through D2 schools looking for a diamond in the rough look no further. Tyah has the ability to score at all three levels on a consistent basis no matter the level of talent I’ve seen her matched up against. Coming off a 1st Time all- state selection in her Junior season, Pettaway plays with a confidence that can not be shaken. Her ability to create off the dribble with changes of speed and explosive drives to the paint make her a nightmare in isolation situations. What really makes me believe Tyah will excel at the next level is her ability to shoot the ball! Her mid range pull up game is a shot she seems to have perfected and she is very comfortable pulling up two to three feet extended past 3point territory. Playing for a local public highschool and small local program has not helped expose Pettaway very much in her recruiting process. Hopefully her experience in Kentucky/Chicago this July will open up the recruiting for this next level guard.
Mya Hillman/ 6”1/ F/ Montville high school/ Ct spirit/ 22”
Throughout the entire spring I have been very impressed with Mya’s footwork, unselfishness and willingness to do whatever it takes to help her team get the win. The defensive anchor for the very Exciting CT S
pirit 17u squad, has turned up her level of play in recent weeks. At the GymRats tournament in Albany Hillman had a dominant 2nd half vs Twin Tier Elite when her team needed her most. Her 16 point 13reb 5block performance was just what her team needed to never look back and leave Albany undefeated. This Past weekend at Select Prime East Events at Spooky Nook I was even more impressed. In a very uptempo Game against Team Melo Mya did not allow her lack of shot attempts to affect her effort and ability to control the game on the defensive and offensive glass. In the championship. An all New England showdown against the Bay State Jags. Again, her Dominance on the boards was a huge factor in leading her team to the title. Mya has a high IQ always looking for the open perimeter shooters off the offensive rebound and the ability to guard smaller players on defense which allows her team to cause havoc switching all screens. Mya’s recruitment is currently open to all levels looking for opportunities that hit her best!
Natalia Hall-Rosa Natalia Hall-Rosa 6'0" | SF Bridgewater-Raynham | 2024 State New E / 6”0/ F/ Bridgewater Raynham/ Bay state Jags/ 24”
Perhaps the prospect with the most potential in all of New England regardless of class. Talie has shot up the rankings with many stellar performances this spring. Playing up with the 23” and 22” jags squads has expanded Rosa’s game, and she is taking advantage of every opportunity. A college ready body at 6” feet she makes her physical presence known right from the beginning of the game. This spring Rosa has proved she can be comfortable attacking the basketball with either left or right hand. Running the floor and initiating offense from defense rebounds continue to be areas Talie excels. Her unselfishness really makes the game easier for her teammates when she is driving, drawing the defense and kicking the ball out to open shooters. The motor this kid plays with is a joy to watch. She truly plays the game with a passion that is rare. With a great freshman year and outstanding spring so far Rosa has drawn the attention of Many D1 schools such as Boston College, Villanova, Maryland, Temple and Umass to name a few.
Kayla Tilus Kayla Tilus 6'1" | CG Notre Dame of Fairfield | 2022 State New E / 6”1/combo guard/ Notre Dame Fairfield/ Ct Supreme Elite/ 22”
Kayla has great potential to be a high level two way player at the next level. Defense, a winning nature, has been the calling card for Kayla for the past few seasons. This spring Tilus has proved she can score effortlessly within the offense. With her long athletic body type her moves in transition have been some of the most fluid if seen all season. In the half court she cuts hard and takes pride in working to get her teammates great looks. When the plays break down Tilus first step and long strides give her the ability to get in the paint at will and her high IQ puts her team in great position.Talking, cheering teammates on, diving for loose balls, setting great screens are the intangibles that really make Kayla pop on the court. With both her high school and AAU programs Kayla is getting some of the best coaching in the state. Kayla is certainly a D1 guard with interest from mainly mid majors with the potential to reach major with a great “Live Period”.
