Laney Beale Laney Beale 5'9" | PG Chapel Hill | 2022 State NC (FBC Carolina Elite Lyn, PG, 2022) continues to shine with her ball handling and patience letting plays develop. She knows exactly when to make her cuts with and without the ball, and she has a nice shot to show off. She even crashes the boards going after rebounds. She can take these boards coast to coast even showing off some nice fakes along the way to get to the basket. She does well finding open teammates as they are cutting to the basket. She can certainly grab steals to take the other direction before her opponents have a chance to react.
Nevaeh Farmer Nevaeh Farmer 5'4" | PG North Mecklenburg | 2023 State NC (Team Curry 16U UAA, PG, 2023) uses her ball handling to get to the basket whether she fakes out her opponents or uses spin moves. She can score through contact, too, showing off some old fashioned three point plays. Her moves to the basket cause her opponents to constantly foul her trying to stop her. She even showed off her shot blocking ability.
Addie Phipps (Surry Storm, SG, 2023) showed off her range draining some from behind the arc. She knows how to sell her fakes with her whole body to throw off her defender. On defense, she picks the pocket of her opponents. She jumps into passing lanes grabbing the steals, and she pushes them right up the court to her teammates cutting to the basket. She had a nice jump stop in transition showing off her midrange shooting ability, too.
Tyler Collins Tyler Collins 5'7" | CG West Cabarrus | 2024 State NC (PSB Elite 16U, PG, 2024) has nice handles with the ball controlling the tempo of the game moving her defenders where she wants them to go. She uses fakes to make her way around her opponents to get to the basket. She shows off her IQ on defense knowing when to set her trap to prevent her opponents from scoring.
Kaylee Carson Kaylee Carson 5'8" | PG Independence | 2024 State NC (Carolina Flames 16U EYBL, SG, 2024, pictured above) did well moving without the ball finding the gaps on defense to show off her jumper. She filled the lanes in transition catching passes to take to the hoop, and she did not shy away from contact. She is patient when making her moves as she knows exactly when to make her cuts to the basket when handling the ball. She set herself up for some nice three point shooting as well.
