Showed the ability to put the ball on the deck and draw contact to get to the line. Most notably, Kylah played prominently on the perimeter offensively, going to the hoop and crashing boards at will. Recently committed to D2 Wayne State.
Jaida Young Jaida Young 5'7" | CG Watertown | 2023 State SD – 5’7 CG 2022 – Watertown – Pentagon Schoolers Brown – Really like Jaida at the point position. She can play at the next level. She has a feistiness about her playstyle and plays at quick pace and speed. Has great speed while handling the ball — almost plays too fast at times. Will knock down an open three when given time. Overall, Jaida is a next level guard that plays with speed and is an attacking player.
Ellie Lems – 5’10 SG 2022 – Sioux Falls Christian – Pentagon Schoolers Brown – Ellie had a breakout season for Sioux Falls Christian and she’s showing she can compete with college prospects as well. She has great movement and is a laterally quick athlete. Has ball-skills at length and can put the ball in the hoop from all over and get to the hoop and put up a floater.
Nancy Peter Nancy Peter 6'1" | C Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2023 State SD – 6’1 C 2023 – Sioux Falls Lincoln – Pentagon Schoolers Brown – Nancy is a new prospect to me and a 6-footer to monitor. Runs the floor and plays with solid effort. A true inside player that will stay prominently in the lane. Will sit in position and battle down-low, pushing her opponent off their spot. Good overall playing strength and power.
Leah Herbster Leah Herbster 6'0" | SF Vermillion | 2023 State SD – 6’0 SF 2023 – Vermillion – Pentagon Schoolers Brown – Leah showed exceptional movement as a developing wing prospect. Has some good upside from that spot if her ball skills continue in the right direction. Uses her length well on D, even when she’s off the ball in help defense.
Kiana Mounga Kiana Mounga 6'0" | C Aberdeen Central | 2022 State SD – 5’11 PF-C 2022 – Aberdeen Central – Vipers – You’re not going to find many harder working prospects than Kianna. She will sprint the floor 100% and battle inside with full effort. She can get deep inside the lane and create contact offensively.
Madelyn Bragg Madelyn Bragg 6'3" | C Aberdeen Roncalli | 2022 State SD – 6’2 C 2022 – Aberdeen Roncalli – Vipers – Northern State University – Madelyn has jumped around from program to program this summer, most recently playing for the Vipers. She’s a D2 commit and protected the paint and rebounded at a high level.
Olivia Hanson Olivia Hanson 5'6" | SG Aberdeen Roncalli | 2022 State SD – 5’6 SG 2022 – Aberdeen Roncalli – Vipers – Olivia is a lock-down defender and one of the best defenders in the state. Her offensive game is developing and had an impressive coast-to-coast layup for an And-1 against Eastern Dakota Elite. She was able to finish layups inside a few times in the game that I saw. Could easily compete at the next level, just from her defensive prowess alone.
Morgan Fiedler Morgan Fiedler 5'8" | PG Aberdeen Roncalli | 2022 State SD – PG 5’7 2022 – Aberdeen Roncalli – Vipers – Northern State University – Morgan’s ability to be a shutdown on-ball defender has translated to the summer. She’s very hard to get by off the dribble and her containment ability is elite. She has verbally committed to D2 Northern State University with her teammate, Bragg.
Jeci Ewart Jeci Ewart 5'9" | SF Aberdeen Roncalli | 2022 State SD – 5’9 SF 2022 – Aberdeen Roncalli – Vipers – Jeci is overlooked to a sense because she’s such a great passer. Nothing flashy but she’s an accurate and skilled passer, with her passes leading to positive plays quite often. Jeci’s basketball IQ is quite noticeable.
