2022
Bailey Maupin Bailey Maupin 5'10" | SG Gruver | 2022 State TX -5’10 SG (SA Finest Cee Lou)
Maupin is a new addition to a squad with multiple shooters and scorers yet the Texas Tech commit mixed it up nicely with her pull-up jumper in the half-court or the stop and pop jumper in transition but just the smoothness of watching her create her shot while being defended tightly was very nice, so was her taking the defender off the dribble to score
Jiya Perry Jiya Perry 5'11" | SF DeSoto | 2022 State TX -6’0 PF (Team Lex Tarheels) Desoto HS
Perry does things so quietly on the court yet when you check out the stat sheet, you see she did things loudly as she fills it up yet she filling up the basket with regularity and taking defenders off the dribble isn’t all because she also does something I love to see and that’s understanding how to create contact which makes her an “and one” waiting to happen but she also can shoot it, mid to long-range which is another way to ger three points and her defense as well as rebounding on both ends always stands out
Areylle Stevens-6’1 PF (Skyrise Edmond) Pearland HS
Stevens did so many things, like show countless college coaches, I didn’t count them but it was SRO, she won’t be outworked and battling players sometimes 5 inches taller in the paint deserves #THROWBACK which she also did to some opponents shots but peep this, scoring with either hand in the paint, after contact and taking defenders off the dribble to score, also after contact is nice
Mikaylah Williams-6’0 CG (Mavs Elite STRONG-Durham) Parkway HS
Williams caught my eye a couple of months ago taking off from the free-throw line and cuffing the ball for a lay-up yet I didn’t get to see that yesterday but what I did see was her ability to score multiple ways and possess the talent to take over a game from either end. She has the size and the college-ready body right now, without seeing every player in the country my knowledge tells me there aren’t 20 players in the country better than her and she could easily be in the Top 10 but of course, I have no agenda so who knows
Londyn Oliphant Londyn Oliphant 5'6" | PG Sachse | 2024 State TX -5’6 CG (Texas Platinum 16U Walker) Sasche HS
Oliphant always impresses me, on and off the court, because she thinks the game and understands something very important, how to find ways to put the ball in the basket. Three years ago I said she was showing #BCS signs and hasn’t become what she will, and she hasn’t because her mindset is “she wants to be the best that she can be” and that’s scary because she’s very impressive right now read more
