2022’s That We Want To See At The Prep Hoops Top 250 – Part 1
Dakota Alston Dakota Alston PG Detroit Edison | 2023 State MI (PG, Detroit Edison)
Alston is one of the top pure point guards in the state. She’s super quick and efficient with the ball. Alston could be a real show stopper at the event.
Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI (C, Buchanan)
Carson is one of the top post players in the midwest, and in my opinion, even beyond that. High majors should come and see her ability to pass from the high post as well as bang inside.
Susy Heller Susy Heller 5'8" | SG Northville | 2023 State MI (SG, Northville)
Heller is a gritty guard that we’d love to see at the event. She’s an efficient shooter and is willing to do the little things. Heller probably deserves more coverage and she could get it at the Top 250.
Kaylee Glidden Kaylee Glidden 5'9" | SG Pennfield | 2023 State MI (SG, Pennfield)
Glidden is a prospect to keep an eye on this coming high school season. She has a nice looking jumper with range that extends beyond the arc. Glidden could really make a name for herself in Grand Rapids.
Nyemah Hodo Nyemah Hodo 5'11" | C Ecorse | 2023 State MI (C, Ecorse)
I really believe that Hodo is an elite defender in Michigan. She uses her length to block and alter shots in the paint. College coaches will want to see Hodo on October 3rd.
Megan McCalla Megan McCalla 5'11" | PF Chelsea | 2023 State MI (PF, Chelsea)
McCalla was at the event last year and turned a lot of heads. Scouts and coaches were incredibly impressed with her versatility. McCalla showed that she could score at all 3 levels and defend multiple positions.
Maddie Petroelje Maddie Petroelje 6'1" | SF Hudsonville | 2023 State MI (SF, Hudsonville)
Petroelje has had a huge last 12 months. She was a standout at the Top 250 last year, then went on to be a key piece of a state title run. Petroelje is a D1 prospect that coaches will attend or tune in to see.
Malena Price Malena Price 5'10" | SG Birmingham Groves | 2023 State MI (SG, Birmingham Groves)
Price is a terrific all around athlete that can move smoothly in all directions. She’s a force on the defensive side of the ball, using grit and toughness along with good positional strength to contain her opponent.
Shamya Reid Shamya Reid 5'5" | PG Westfield Prep | 2023 State MI (PG, Westfield Prep)
Reid is a smooth and slick lead guard that has an incredibly high upside. She should be talked about amongst the top point guards in the state. Reid is the type of player that could drive hom from Grand Rapids with an offer in her backpack.
Trinity Starling Trinity Starling 6'1" | SF East Kentwood | 2023 State MI (SF, East Kentwood)
Starling is a very intriguing prospect that coaches will want to check out at the Top 250. She uses her length to disrupt the passing lanes on defense and is a gritty scorer on the other end.
