We will talk about girls who were leading their teams in steals and also doing other things on the floor to help their teams win games.
2021, 5’8, SG, Corona Centennial HS, Trinity San Antonio Trinity San Antonio 5'9" | SG Corona Centennial | 2021 State CA – Trinity was a true thief this season, she racked up 105 steals on the season in 26 games, which averages out to be 4 steal per game. She has always been a good defender, shucks, she has always been a defensive stopper in my opinion. She takes on the best player each and every time she is on the floor, she has the hard assignment.
2022, 5’5, PG, Corona Centennial HS, Londynn Jones Londynn Jones 5'5" | PG Santiago | 2022 State #9 Nation CA – Londynn is also a ball hawker on the defensive end of the ball, she took on some tough assignments as well for Centennial this season. She had the second best offensive player and most times switched to the best player as well in those games. This Centennial squad was tough this year on the defensive side of the ball which was proven in the Regional Championship and Southern Championships this year. Londynn had 103 steals in 26 games as well.
2021, 5’6, PG/CG, Corona Centennial HS, Jayda Curry Jayda Curry 5'6" | PG Corona Centennial | 2021 State CA – Jayda is a tough defender in her own right as well, she would pick her opponent up 94 feet in the games I watched her play in. She was recognized on the Under Armor circuit as an elite defender and led her travel team in steals and was a defensive stopper in those game in front of scouts in the stands. Quick feet and quick responses on the court is what Jayda will give you and she will also give you that at the next level. Jayda had 101 steals in 26 games as well.
