Today we will take a look at the top-3 seniors in the state of Oklahoma. No. 1 – Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Darianna Littlepage-Buggs 6'1" | SF Classen SAS | 2022 State #24 Nation OK | 6-1 SF | Classen SAS | @DariannaBuggs22
Over the weekend Darianna took her first official visit. This one was to Florida, but I’d imagine that there are more coming in the near future. Back in August Littlepage-Buggs narrowed down her massive list of offers to the final 10 – all D-I’s, of course. Her list is a who’s who of women’s college basketball.
- Florida
- Baylor
- Alabama
- Villanova
- Texas A&M
- Ole Miss
- Penn State
- Auburn
- Clemson
- Texas
So, what do they see in her? Well, there’s the flat out hustle on both ends of the court. There’s the fluidity and confidence that she moves with on the court. She scores from all three levels. Is bouncy enough that it seems there’s the threat of her dunking on every fast break. She defends ferociously. She is a willing passer with a very high basketball IQ. Basically, she is everything a coach could want in a player and every coach apparently wants her. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!
No. 2 – Myka Perry Myka Perry 5'10" | CG Norman | 2022 State OK | 5-10 CG | Norman | @mykagp_
Speaking of the Florida Gators, Perry will be gracing the court of the O’Connell Center in the blue and orange for years to come. Myka was a big part of the Norman Tigers undefeated run to the state championship last season. She often runs the point. As the off-guard, she is a tremendous scorer who does a great job of getting to the rim with a bevy of moves and a very strong finish. She has great handles and speed and just like all of the top ranked players in the class, she has a great basketball IQ from playing at a high level for the previous three years. Perry is a great guard and should add a lot to what is already becoming a very good Gators squad.
No. 3 – Mikayla Parks Mikayla Parks 5'8" | SG Norman | 2022 State OK | 5-8 SG | Norman | @MikaylaParks12
Speaking of the defending state champion Norman Tigers, Parks is a big part of that team also. Unlike her teammate, she is not headed to the SEC, however. Parks has committed to Kansas State to play for head coach Jeff Mittie in what – in 2023 – will be his 10th year at the helm of the Wildcats. Parks is a smart player, a coaches kid, who is a leader on her squad and will looked at to lead them again this season. She is a great spot shooter who should never, ever be left open. She is a good passer with vision and perhaps one of the most important parts of her game is her defensive prowess. She uses her quickness to keep up with her opponent and shows very quick hands to pop the ball out. She is all over the court, on both ends, and it is clear to see why K-State went after her so aggressively. Her game is very mature, she is a good leader and pretty soon the Wildcats faithful will fall in love with her game, as well.
