5 Must See Seniors This High School Season

The new high school season is quickly approaching. With the new season, comes stars, storylines, and breakout players. Let’s take a look at 6 seniors that are "must see" for a variety of reasons. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147728" first="Alaina" last="Diaz"] (CG, Hudsonville)</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="147728" first="Alaina" last="Diaz"] is a special player. She can play on or off the ball, at any time and in the blink of an eye. She’s a true 2 way player that can have an influence on both ends. Diaz can handle pressure with both the dribble and the pass. And yes, this continues my cam pain to have her included as a candidate for Miss Basketball in 2022. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147744" first="Olivia" last="Dirkse"] (PG, Davison)</strong> If you haven’t seen Dirkse play yet, trust me, and take advantage of any opportunity. She’s one of the most underrated 3 point shooters in the state and basically is a threat to hit one from anywhere. Dirkse has developed into a terrific floor general and leader. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147714" first="Mya" last="Petticord"] (PG, Arbor Prep)</strong> Petticord is a player that you absolutely have to see live. The way she can manipulate defenses with her handled is often breathtaking. Petticord is one of the best pure passers in the country, if you ask me. She passes teammates open and can put the ball in small spaces, even when on the move. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147713" first="Ruby" last="Whitehorn"] (PG, Detroit Edison)</strong> I'm thoroughly convinced that Whitehorn is a star at the next level. She's one of the most athletic point guards in the country. Whitehorn is a wizard with the ball in transition. She can make a quick dribble move and finish with authority as well as hit a teammate with a pinpoint pass. We all need to enjoy her true greatness during her senior season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147724" first="Avery" last="Zeinstra"] (PG, Byron Center)</strong> I think we've all kind of been spoiled the last few years by Zeinstra. She's made great 3 point shooting look almost routine, and deep down, we know it isn't. It's not that often that we get to enjoy a pure lead guard that can fill it up from deep the way that Zeinstra can.
