This conference is split into three divisions, with teams at the top of each that are very competitive with each other. Last season the class of Central Wisconsin was Bonduel going 10-0 in conference play a season ago and looking to repeat that feat this season. Now it’s time to look at the players who have the ability to shape how the conference standings look at the end of the season.
Allaina Robaidek Allaina Robaidek 5'7" | CG Bonduel | 2022 State WI -5’7-’22-Bonduel: It’s only fair, to begin with, one of the most influential players on the reigning champions of the conference. Robaidek is a smooth wing who has the ability to score from anywhere on the floor. She plays with a calmness to her game. Going into her senior season she still has some room to grow, her shooting numbers are a little bit lower than where they could be at 43% from the field and 31% from three. Her shots look good consistency is her main issue but she is very young and if she wants to continue playing it’s likely a good coach can get it out of her.
Valarie Cerveny-5’8-’22-Gresham Community: Last season individually was a very successful one for Ceverny. She was extremely efficient on shots she got and was an excellent scorer who was very reliable, not something that is common. However, they came up as a team a bit short of where they could’ve been, losing in the sectional final is something they hope to improve on. If they are to improve and take a big leap for this seniors final season Ceverny will have to take her efficiency and drastically increase the volume of her shots as well.
Lexi Hedtke-5’6-’23-Manawa: Last season laid the groundwork for being competitive within the conference finishing 7-2 in conference play. This season will be looking to continue that and this lefty guard will be key to doing that. As a left-handed player, she excels at attacking defenses who are just not used to see lefties and she can get to rim early and steal some easy points. She is also a balanced player who looks to score as much as she does to get passes to open teammates.
Laney Havlovitz Laney Havlovitz 5'5" | PG Wild Rose | 2023 State WI -’23-Wild Rose: Possibly gets knocked for the conference she plays in, but for her conference, she has a chance to really grow into an all-around player. She has a knack for scoring and shows a willingness to drive and create her own shots. With a team who came up just short divisionally containing one of the most talented juniors in the conference is one who will look to win now, and Havlovitz will be key for them this season.
