Makayla Allen (Vicksburg)
This was my first time seeing Allen play, and was I ever impressed. She’s a mature scorer that, even as a freshman, can do it in a variety of ways. Allen can bury a catch and shoot mid range jumper and she flaunted a nice spin move under the basket that turned into 2 points.
Peyton Behnke (Bedford)
Behnke is confident and assertive with the ball in her hands. She pounds the dribble, barely ever putting it in reach of her defender. Behnke showed a nice skipping bounce pass as well as proved that she can finish at the rim through traffic. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of her game was her pure strength and her ability to use it.
Emily Jacobs (Heartland)
Jacobs will have a big role,in the short term. She’s a high energy athlete they is more than willing to scrap under the rim for a loose ball.
Morgan Kuhl (Hanover Horton)
Kuhl has a bright future ahead of herself in regards to the game of basketball. She has the look of a heady player. You could almost see her take in information throughout the open run. Not only did she take it in, but she analyzed it and adjusted. Kuhl could be an impact player for Hanover Horton.
Charlotte Miller (Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard)
Miller is a top notch freshman that held to form at Flight Hankamp. She’s a well rounded offensive player. Miller was aware of her teammates and looked for them cutting to the rim. More than once she hit a teammate in stride going to the rim.
Ashlyn Moorehead (Tecumseh)
Moorehead will play a big role in the success of the Tecumseh program over the next few years. She moved well on the floor, always giving his a kick out option or a safety valve.
