Continue ReadingI think I’m going to criss-cross and flip, keep in mind everything I post is based on what I see so if I missed an outstanding performance, my bad, however, “JUST KEEP DOING IT” because unlike many across the country, I have no agenda, I don’t play the political games or anything so here we go
Anahlynn Murray-5’5 (Summer Creek) 2022
Murray conceivably could have been on my Combo list as well as my ALL EXPLOSIVE list yet I enjoyed her keeping her team under control. In transition, this squad is going to create some issues yet she understands how to control the temp but her first step to attack and finish, and that pull-up jumper just set it off
Syrene Sanders Syrene Sanders 5'5" | PG Cactus Shadows | 2022 State AZ -5’4 (Lady Nation AZ) 2022
Sanders probably isn’t related to the Colonel but nevertheless, she ain’t chicken and the heat she applies on defense is definitely worthy of getting the grease hot. Okay, she dives on the floor, she plays the passing lane, she traps yet she enjoys all of that but she also can score off the dribble as well as the pull-up and her court-vision and ball-handling were very nice
Chrishelle Washington Chrishelle Washington 5'7" | CG North Shore | 2022 State TX -5’5 (North Shore) 2022
Shelly is back and sending messages and what I saw has her way ahead of where I anticipated, which is good for her and her team because the game starts at the 1. She scores off the dribble and assists off the dribble and she also showed the outside shot numerous times
Aliyah Solis-5’4 (Lamar Consolidated) 2022
Solis is smart and plays within herself yet she gets the job done, under pressure, and that is the key but she unlocked other doors by scoring off the dribble with either hand as well as stretching the defense with her jumper yet those on the money passes in traffic always grabs me
Jade Miller Jade Miller 5'6" | PG Manvel | 2022 State TX -5’6 (Lutheran North) 2022
Miller and her poise, caught my eye in the 6th grade, well so did her 7 or 8 three pointers in a row but fast forward to now as she “understands the game” because in this era, that is big and while she is vocal on the court and understands time management, yeah that’s big before she heads to the next level and she can still score but her passes for assists are OMG at times
Riley McCloskey Riley McCloskey 5'3" | PG Memorial | 2023 State TX -5’4 (Memorial) 2023
McCloskey left an overly lasting impression because I knew the heat was coming and when you do what she did against one of the top defensive teams in the state, I mean I was just speechless but she doesn’t know what pressure is, she never has and she understands how to get teammates involved, makes good decisions on passes and scores either attacking or dropping one from another area code
Chelsy Singleton Chelsy Singleton 5'7" | CG Cy Ranch | 2023 State TX -5’7 (Cy Ranch) 2023
Singleton is also coming back from an injury and after walking in seeing her dive into the stands, I said CHELSEY, well she goes hard on both ends, and her desire to want to get better shows every time she steps on the court. She is understanding how to run a team as well as when to take over the game
Aniyah Sanford Aniyah Sanford 5'5" | PG Langham Creek | 2023 State TX -5’4 (Langham Creek) 2023
Sanford showed during the club season how her UPS have improved and watching her outrebound players at or over “the magic number” that’s 6’0, had me in awe yet the magic continues as she is still jumping to gran rebounds, she’s still dropping the outside jumpers as well as controlling the tempo and making assists yet her scoring with either hand, on putbacks had me SMH
Janae Tucker Janae Tucker 5'6" | CG Pearland | 2023 State TX -5’7 (Pearland) 2023
Tucker is one of the smoothest point guards in the state because she thinks the game and has learned to use everything she has to the best of her ability and talent-wise, she brings a lot to the table yet dinner is served as she threads the needle like a master seamstress, she scores attacking or mid to long-range and handling the ball under pressure is just solid
Kendall Sneed Kendall Sneed 5'7" | CG Hardin Jefferson | 2024 State TX -5’6 (Hardin-Jefferson) 2024
Sneed, what can I say, I remember the first time I caught her at an All Eyez On Me Individual Showcase and I just knew what was coming yet it has come quicker than I thought because she wants it and she gives it. Her first step is explosive or she can use it to be deceptive and in the open court her zig-zagging while hitting teammates is priceless yet so is her ability to run the squad
