Part 2 of the top scorers from the WDA conference. Look for most if not all these athletes to make all regional team next year and put their teams in prime position come March.
[player_tooltip player_id="196272" first="Peyton" last="Neumiller"] - Bismarck - (5’9/SG/2023) - Starting our list we have Neumiller which is a big anticipated returner for Bismarck High. Neumiller was the second leading scorer for the Demons last season averaging 13.5 points per game. She shot an average of 43% from the field which is a number we expect to go up and contributed 49 steals with 12 blocks.
[player_tooltip player_id="245114" first="Maggie" last="Fricke"] - Minot - (5’5/PG/2026) - Fricke had an amazing varsity season last year averaging 12.3 points per game. She was a huge spark off the bench for the Majettes and seen a starting roll in a handful of games. She has an arsenal of moves ranging from a sweet looking step back jumper to a cradle rocking cross to a pull up. Did I mention she is only an 8th grader this year? She’s a must watch come winter time!
[player_tooltip player_id="195723" first="Mariah" last="Evenson"] - Minot - (5’8/SG/2022) - One of the senior leaders for the Majettes come this year, Evenson was the second leading scorer on the team and top field goal percentage player. She showed a lot of poise in choosing the highest percentage shot which often was a blow by layup or coming off a screen mid-range shot. Look for Mariah to up the antae this year in her production.
[player_tooltip player_id="195726" first="Mykie" last="Messer"] - Bismarck St. Mary’s - (5’10/SF/2023) - Messer returns to a young Saints squad after leading the team in points, steals, blocks, field goal percentage and 3 point percentage last year. Messer is the complete package for St. Mary’s. Hopefully this off-season proved to be beneficial for Messer and the Saints. Look for them to be in the middle of the pack for WDA contention come this year.
[player_tooltip player_id="100461" first="Ella" last="Falk"] - Jamestown - (5’9/SF/2023) - Falk earned all region selection this year. Ella was the 3rd leading scorer and top overall assist player in the WDA with 118 equivalent to 5.9 assists per game. Her IQ and ability to pass are what makes her such a standout athlete. With a good returning core of athletes look for the Blue Jays to be serious contenders again this year.
