She received numerous offers over the summer and last week the talented Hanna committed to Florida Atlantic University. Per Hanna, FAU was the right fit for her. Hanna will control the middle in her Senior year at Bartram. She is a defensive force on the inside and blocks a lot of shots. She forces a lot of missed shots as well. Hanna is a glass cleaner on the boards and runs the floor very well. She is the epitome of sportsmanship and has a passion for the game. She is full of energy and does not take plays off. Hanna is primed to have a special 2022 campaign.
Emily McIntosh Emily McIntosh 5'11" | SF St. Augustine | 2022 State FL 2022, 5’10” Combo Guard (St. Johns Cty) was solid all summer long during AAU and the College live period. She had some eye-opening performances that garnered a lot of college interest. On the heels of a great summer, the 5’10″ guard has committed to Rollins University. Rollins gets a player in McIntosh who is very versatile. McIntosh can run the point and is also comfortable on the wing. She can get to the rim, finish strong, and can also create open shots for her teammates. McIntosh is also a very good shooter from behind the three-point line.
Nia Brown Nia Brown 5'11" | PF Orange Park | 2022 State FL 2022, Forward, 6’1″ (Orange Park) recently committed to Chipola College. Brown will anchor the paint for the Lady Raiders of Orange Park. She is a very good rebounder, a solid defender, and a shot-blocking specialist. Brown also is a viable option on offense who can score inside and also from the mid-range area of the court. On a team filled with young talent, Brown will provide leadership and be the calming force for the young and talented Raiders team this upcoming basketball season.

Sophia Rueppell Sophia Rueppell 5'9" | PG Bishop Kenny | 2023 State FL 2023, 5’9″ Combo Guard (Bishop Kenny) recently received her first D-1 offer from Kennesaw State University. Rueppell is a dynamic guard who can do it all. She plays with great poise and passion on the court. She can handle the ball and shoots the three-ball extremely well. When the game is on the line, a coach wants the ball in her hands. Rueppell is poised to have a very good year in her first year at Bishop Kenny. With the exit of Jasmyne Roberts Jasmyne Roberts 5'10" | CG Bishop Kenny | 2021 State FL and Maddie Millar Maddie Millar 5'9" | CG Bishop Kenny | 2022 State FL , Rueppell will be called upon to lead BK on and off the court.
Ellie Jackson 2022, Forward, 5’10″ (Mandarin) was recently recognized by Channel 4 News for excelling on the sports scene (Flag Football, Volleyball, and Basketball), excelling in the classroom with a 4.2 GPA, and her involvement in the Student-Athlete Leadership program. Jackson will once again take on the leadership role for the very talented Mandarin Basketball team. Jackson is the Defensive Specialist on Mandarin’s Volleyball team and that term can be used to describe her role on the basketball court as well. Jackson is the player who normally draws the assignment of defending the opposing team’s best player. She is also a good scorer on the inside and can hit the mid-range shot. She is also a rebounding machine and is one of the best natural leaders on the First Coast.
High School Basketball Media Day (Girls and Boys) is scheduled for October 19, 2021, at the Winston YMCA in Jacksonville, FL. The event will kick off at 10 AM.
