Rob Walker with Tampa Thunder annually hosts the Red’s Super 64 Showcase. This year it was held at Carrolton Day School in Tampa and had over 80 individuals in attendance, showcasing their skills to a number of D2, D3, NAIA, and Junior Colelege coaches throughout the day. Here are the Forwards and Centers that were in the gym!
Jaiden Ross Jaiden Ross 5'11" | PF Colonial HS | 2022 State FL – 5’11 Forward – Class of 2022 (Colonial HS)
ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 4.0, SAT: 1010
Ross is a lefty, 5’11 undersized forward who plays tough and physical. She thrives vs physical play, often initiating the contact and finishing around the rim. She consistently puts the ball to the floor and finishes with her left hand, attacking the rim aggressively.
Carlee Warden-Janikowsi – 6’2 Forward / Center – Class of 2022 (Carrollwood Day School)
ACADEMIC INFO: N/A
Warden-Janikowsi is another lefty that is 6’2 with mass. Her strong build allows her to be an impactful player down low, pushing opposing players around in the paint. Her offensive game is versatile and she can play inside and out – displaying a faceup game, knocking down the trail 3 in addition to her solid interior play.
Amya Patterson Amya Patterson 6'0" | SF Apopka | 2022 State FL – 6’0 Wing/Forward – Class of 2022 (Apopka HS)
ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 4.0, SAT: 1020, ACT: 19
Patterson is a versatile 6’0 Wing, who can also play the Forward position as well. She is most effective in the paint and in and around 5 feet from the basket but can step out and shoot it from 15 feet. She is comfortable at the high post and in the short corner.
Jehari Jacobs – 6’1 Center – Class of 2022 (Eagles Landing HS)
ACADEMIC INFO: GPA: 3.4, SAT: 1040
Jacobs is a 6’1 power forward who can also play as an undersized center. She is a power player inside who plays as if she is 6’3+. She is not afraid to lower her shoulder and throw her weight around. She is very effective if she establishes low post position and can drop step and finish over her left shoulder with her right hand.
Alaina Williams Alaina Williams 6'1" | PF Brooks De Bartelo | 2023 State FL – 6’1 Forward – Class of 2023 (Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate)
ACADEMIC INFO: N/A
Williams is a 6’1 Forward with a strong build. Her strong physique and broad shoulders stood out in a gym of over 80+ players. She rebounded the ball well on both the offensive and defensive ends. She runs the floor well and is a solid athlete who can outrun opposing teams post players in transition for easy baskets and is effective as a defender in full court pressure schemes.
Bryanna Griffiths – 5’11 Forward – Class of 2023 (Port Charlotte High School)
ACADEMIC INFO: 3.41 GPA
Griffiths is a wide body post with mass. She is extremely difficult to move around down low. She plays hard, aggressively, and physical. She is a good finisher in the paint vs contact and rebounds the ball well on the offensive and defensive end. She plays with consistent energy and extremely effective filling up the stat sheet anytime she is in the game!
