The Most Outstanding Player was very tough to name, considering all of the great play that we witnessed at Lake Michigan College. That being said, we chose Bridget Crombie Bridget Crombie 5'11" | SF CHAP | 2023 State MI as the MOP. She’s a skilled forward in the class of 2023.
Crombie impressed in so many different facets of the game in the Flight Hankamp Open Run at Lake Michigan College. Her leadership was very evident from the opening tip through the final buzzer. Crombie was positive and vocal with her teammates, both on and off the floor, throughout the event. She was always ready and willing to move and share the basketball, but also showed an offensive takeover mode that only a certain number players possess. Crombie showed the ability to score both facing the rim as well as with her back to the basket. She had a very effective swooping drive across the lane that usually ended in a layup or a floater with touch. When Crombie caught the ball on the block, she was a force to be reckoned with. She had a spin move that frustrated defenders all morning. Crombie was more than solid as a secondary ball handler and shooter. She also showed versatility on defense, defending in the paint as well as on the perimeter.
