HypeSouth Hardwood Invitational Notables Pt. 1
2022 5-9 C Zemaya Carson – Warner Robins
The track and field standout used her strength to get on the glass and convert tough baskets inside. Carson, a shot putter, would swallow up rebounds and carve out space with her elbows. Her physicality is impressive.
2023 5-10 F Kynnadi Howard – Warner Robins
Long and active, Howard alters shots with her great length. She’s a mobile forward that runs the floor and can beat opponents to the rim. Kynnadi doesn’t need set plays called for her in order to be effective.
2024 5-5 PG [player_tooltip player_id="269513" first="Nevaeh" last="Mack"] – Warner Robins
Foul trouble kept [player_tooltip player_id="269513" first="Nevaeh" last="Mack"] from getting into a flow, but when the ball was in her hands it didn’t take long to recognize her talent. She’s quick with a good handle, able to split traps and find the open man. Mack scores the ball off the dribble with her jumper and can get to the basket.

MJ Harris led Marietta in scoring, hitting outside shots when left open. She has a high release but may need to quicken her shot as she gets older. Harris was an aggressive defender that got on the floor for loose balls and helped open things up in transition. She’s trending in the right direction with her development.
2023 5-7 G [player_tooltip player_id="247667" first="Loren" last="Nelson"] – Marietta
The three-point shooting of [player_tooltip player_id="247667" first="Loren" last="Nelson"] was timely for Marietta. Nelson isn’t the biggest guard, but she likes to stick her nose into scrums and can fight her way to offensive rebounds. When teams run her off the three-point line, Nelson can get to the mid-range in one or two dribbles and knock it down.
2024 5-6 SG Frances Storey – Marietta
Spark plug. That’s what Frances Storey was, especially in the first half when she netted 8 points. Storey hit a pull-up jumper to pair with two three-pointers. Storey shot the ball well over the offseason and her confidence has translated into early season success.
