Ava Card Ava Card 5'10" | PF Bishop Guertin | 2025 State New E – Bishop Guertin – 5’9’’ – PF
Card was one of the only players who consistently utilized the low and high post to engineer offense for herself. In a guard-heavy event, Card separated herself from the rest of the participants with effective play in the interior. Her biggest strength was her passing. Card’s hammer and skip passes were a thing of beauty, and she did an excellent job getting her teammates involved on offense.
Emily Leonard Emily Leonard 5'7" | CG Pinkerton Academy | 2025 State New E – Pinkerton Academy – 5’6’’ – CG
It is evident Leonard puts in extra work in the gym. Every time I watch her, she implements a new skill to her game, and she is not afraid to apply what she is practicing in live-action. Her isolation moves were fluid, and Leonard had good footwork weaving through defenders on her way to the hoop. The sharpshooting 2 guards’ growth as a slasher has increased her ceiling, and Leonard is turning into a very good all-around offensive threat.
Ayla Regan Ayla Regan 5'6" | CG Salem | 2025 State New E – Salem – 5’6’’. – CG
Regan shot the ball well on Saturday and was automatic, specifically from the corner. What Regan did better than anyone else was run the floor in transition. She was the only player to fill the lanes correctly, get wide, and look for the ball on every break. She racked up many easy buckets by sprinting the floor and taking advantage of the defense slowly getting back.
Katelyn McCormick Katelyn McCormick 5'7" | CG Derryfield | 2025 State New E – Derryfield – 5’7’’ – CG
McCormick has a good feel for the game and moved well without the ball on Saturday. She is a valuable player because she does so many things well without monopolizing the basketball; therefore, McCormick can play with various players. She made quick decisions when receiving the ball and showed how good a passer she is in the halfcourt. I also liked how McCormick was one of the loudest players on the bench. Whether she was on the court or not, her level of engagement was at 100%.
Brooke Langianese Brooke Langianese SG Bedford | 2025 State New E – Bedford – 5’7’’ – SG
Langianese, like many of her NE Storm teammates, are deadly outside shooters. What differentiates Langianese from the rest is her rapid-fire release. As soon as she touches the ball, it is going up. She also is great at relocating behind the three-point line when off the ball. It is rare to find Langianese stagnant on offense. Overall, Langianese is a good scorer. When she receives a pass around the basket, she is a reliable finisher who can convert contested layups frequently.
