Na’Haviya Paxton Na’Haviya Paxton 5'8" | CG Columbia | 2022 State FL 2022, 5’9″ G (Columbia HS). Paxton was very impressive at the Inside Exposure Thanksgiving Classic tournament. What really stood out was her speed, athleticism, and her versatility as a player. Paxton can shoot it from all levels of the court and she is at her best when she is driving the ball to the basket. At 5’9,” she rebounds the ball well from the guard position, and a lot of the rebounds are offensive rebounds that she converts into points. At the Insider Exposure tournament, Paxton’s skillset was on full display. In transition, Paxton was at her best. She pushed the ball up the court (going left and right) and put a lot of pressure on the defense. At times she took the ball all the way to the goal and at other times she drew the defense and dished to the open teammate. Paxton played some “in your face” defense and was very disruptive. Paxton plays “her game” regardless of the competition. In week one of the season, the Senior guard went head to head against Oakleaf’s Fantasia James Fantasia James 5'10" | SF Oakleaf | 2023 State FL and Kayla Turner and finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. In this tournament, against San Jose Prep, a team full of athletic guards, Paxton stood out and showed that she is a player to be reckoned with.
Maddie Millar Maddie Millar 5'9" | CG Bishop Kenny | 2022 State FL 2022, 5’9″ G (Bishop Kenny) was on fire during the Inside Exposure tournament. In one game, Millar knocked down eight three-pointers. The UNF signee was good in other aspects as well with strong moves to the basket, solid defense, and good handles. Millar is one of the best, if not the best three-point shooter on the First Coast and in the state of Florida.
Taijshiah Baldwin Taijshiah Baldwin 5'10" | SF University Christian | 2022 State FL 2022 5’10″ G (University Christian) has been on a tear for the last two weeks. Last week in week one of high school basketball, Baldwin averaged over 25 points per game, and in her lone Inside Exposure game, Baldwin recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds from the guard position. Baldwin was knocking down shots from behind the arc and making aggressive moves to the basket. Defensively, Baldwin has been solid. She plays great man-to-man defense and really utilizes her quickness to get steals, loose balls, and rebounds. Baldwin is one of the best unsigned 2022 players at any position on the First Coast. She is presently averaging 22.3 points per game, 9 rebounds per game, and nearly 5 steals and 3 blocks per game.
Zoriah Mobley Zoriah Mobley 5'9" | SG San Jose Prep | 2022 State FL 2022, 5’8″ G (San Jose Prep). Mobley did some really nice things during the Thanksgiving tournament. Mobley was really impressive with her athleticism and physical style of play. She can play through contact and finish at the basket. Mobley has one of the smoothest shots and can shoot from anywhere on the court. She knows how to put the ball in the basket and can score in flurries. She is really quick off the dribble and has the ability to get to the rim and leave defenders behind. She was aggressive on defense – drew a few charges, applied great on-ball pressure, and played in the passing lanes as well. Mobley was impressive at the Inside Exposure tournament and we will be talking about her throughout this basketball season.
