2022
Saija Cleveland Saija Cleveland 5'10" | PF Langham Creek | 2022 State TX -6’1 F (Langham Creek)
Cleveland has been a joy to watch progress over the years and after recently signing with Dayton, that speaks volumes for this talented power forward who punishes inside the paint yet has the finesse around the rim to face the basket and score. Well she also can drop the midrange consistently and seeing her take defenders at will all through the event was very nice as she finished strongly, this includes after contact
Maya Linton Maya Linton 6'1" | PF Duncanville | 2022 State TX -5’11 F (Duncanville)
Linton will be heading to UTSA after her Pantherette career is over and I foresee that being deep in the playoffs as they have the squad that could head to state, anything can happen in a one-game playoff so her being “long and athletic” and can rebound on both ends, score inside the paint as well as slice down the angle to finish will play a huge part in how far they go
2023
Tristen Taylor Tristen Taylor 5'4" | PG Duncanville | 2023 State TX -5’6 PG (Duncanville)
Taylor simply gets the job done as she can control the tempo or take over if necessary and with her explosiveness off the dribble and crafty handles, she can make things happen, seeing the floor as good as any guard in the state also helps but she has good range, mid to long and she’s under control at all times
Aniyah Sanford Aniyah Sanford 5'5" | PG Langham Creek | 2023 State TX -5’4 PG (Langham Creek)
Sanford continues to take her game to different levels and watching her “poise under pressure” spoke volumes and is one of the reasons she made the All-Tournament squad. She’s heady, plays within herself, and understands how to control the tempo and when you factor in she has good court vision and can shoot the ball from outside, which gives her options
Riley McCloskey Riley McCloskey 5'3" | PG Memorial | 2023 State TX -5’4 PG (Memorial)
McCloskey is so strong, she throws darts on the money with either hand and her body control plays a huge part in that because she also does it off balance, yet on the money. She handles the ball under pressure, directs traffic, and attacks with either hand, she also finishes with either hand using that same body control at times but she also can stretch the defense with the long ball
Molly Beavers Molly Beavers 6'0" | SF Hardin Jefferson | 2023 State TX -6’1 F (Hardin Jefferson)
Beavers just won “Leave It To” as she fills in many blanks on both ends. She’s a solid rebounder, on both ends, she finishes strong but she also has good “hands and footwork” around the basket. Her timing on defense is also good but what really helps is her ability to drop the midrange jumper
India McMahon-5’9 G (Hardin Jefferson)
McMahon may not be related to Ed but she continues to show that she’s clearing the house, okay, my play on words is unmatched, she’s long and athletic and is hard to match up with because she shrewdly takes the defender off the dribble to score and as a bonus, she cab drop the mid to long-range jumper
2024
Nicolette Polocheck Nicolette Polocheck 6'0" | PF Memorial | 2024 State TX -6’0 G/F (Memorial)
Polocheck continues to work on her game, I loved her exploding to the rim from the free-throw line, she even changed hands in traffic while dribbling but she’s fierce in the paint, you won’t outwork her as she goes after everything off the rim and she also finishes strongly after contact
