Yvonne Forman Yvonne Forman 5'11" | PF Dekaney | 2022 State TX & BREANNA GORDON
2022
Yvonne Forman Yvonne Forman 5'11" | PF Dekaney | 2022 State TX (Kashmere)
Forman scores multiple ways yet her powerful finishes have always impressed me, this includes after contact. The midrange is nice, she rebounds on both ends and defends
Kemya Reece (Booker T Washington)
Reece shows there is no “peanut butter cup” in her game yet it’s still sweet as her variety of moves and explosive first step have defenders falling for Reece’s Pieces as she sets them up nicely. Long and athletic and “never takes a play off”
Dakiah Yates (Booker T Washington)
Yates is smooth on both ends of the court and she fills up the stat sheet the same way, smoothly. Her jumper is consistent, she can score off the dribble and she does a good job of applying pressure defensively, in and outside the paint, oh yeah, she rebounds
Erin Love Erin Love 6'0" | PF Bellaire | 2023 State TX
2023
Breanna Gordon (Kashemere)
Gordon can get by defenders in a Flash yet her superhero status doesn’t stop there as she reads the defense very well and plays the passing lane and with her ability to handle the ball, that leads to scoring opps yet she also can drop the pull-up
Erin Love Erin Love 6'0" | PF Bellaire | 2023 State TX (Bellaire)
Love has me LOVING what she’s been working on and with her size, strength, and athleticism, maybe not this year but next year her Cardinal squad will have defenders seeing red yet she is consistently on the go, very active in the paint, on both ends and showing power
Mikayla Allen (Bellaire)
Allen may not be kin to Wash yet she’s on the radio and it ain’t KCOH. I hear her coming from the end as she anticipates the pass and explodes to the basket to finish strongly, I love seeing players play the passing lane and she does it well
Carrie Nichols (Bellaire)
Nichols gave me 5 pennies for my thoughts because guess what, she’s heady and she plays within herself and when you can THINK the game, you’re ahead of the game, always remember that, well when you can drop the pull-up with a hand in your face, that’s good too
2024
Zamaria Reece (Cy Springs)
Reece also understands the “picking to Pieces” aspect of the game as her defense is smothering and usually leads to turnovers but she can play the passing lane, effort, and athleticism = desire, not on your SAT/ACT but it’s on my SIM, stay with me because it will be hard to stay with her, slight hez and nice first step coupled with her being able to either score off the dribble or hit teammates on the money for gimmes
