Megan Olbrys Megan Olbrys 6'1" | PF Norwood | 2022 State NewE – Norwood – 6’1’’ – PF
‘22 Rank: #4
The Villanova commit is one of the best forwards in New England and also one of the most fun players to watch. Her motor is unmatched and will tire out her opponent with nonstop energy. I saw Olbrys play during the fall, and she looks bigger and stronger. Olbrys dominates the pick and roll game, has excellent hands, and finishes in traffic as well as anyone. Even though Olbrys has three-point range, she will do a ton of damage on the block. She gets low, demands the ball, and with her added body strength, Olbrys will make it even more difficult for the defense to stop her.
Nique Mayo Nique Mayo 5'9" | CG Notre Dame Fairfield | 2022 State NewE – Notre Dame Fairfield – 5’9’’ – CG
‘22 Rank: #6
Kayla Tilus Kayla Tilus 6'1" | CG Notre Dame of Fairfield | 2022 State NewE – Notre Dame Fairfield – 6’1’’ – CG
‘22 Rank: #22
The dynamic duo of Mayo and Tilus is arguably the most dominant backcourt in New England. Starting with Mayo, who committed to Marquette, she is one of the deadliest scorers I have seen. She will walk the ball up the court and launch effortlessly once crossing half. Her crossover is strong, and she does a good job using her body to create contact and live at the free-throw line. Mayo is very impressive off the ball, too. She runs off of screens hard, makes precise cuts, and once she catches the ball and squares up the defender, it’s game over.
Tilus is an excellent complement to Mayo. Tilus can control the game on both sides of the ball, with her wingspan being bothersome to her opponent. The ultimate disrupter on defense, Tilus wreaks havoc when she presses the offense. The turnovers that she forces lead to Tilus dominating the open court with her playmaking. In the halfcourt, Tilus slashes well and is effective with both hands. She is a unique prospect who can impact the game in every facet and has no problem filling up the stat sheet.
Kayla Lezama Kayla Lezama 5'10" | CG Noble & Greenough | 2022 State NewE – Noble & Greenough – 5’10’’ – CG
’22 Rank: #9
I saw Lezama practice last week, and I think she is going to have a monster season. She is a big guard who can play the 1-3 and also defend all three positions. Lezama is an excellent communicator on defense and takes command of the game on both sides of the ball. Her mid-range package is legit, and Lezama effortlessly can shot-create off the dribble as well as anyone in her class. Her ability to also initiate the offense enhances her game even more.
Molly Moffitt Molly Moffitt 6'1" | SF Putnam Science | 2022 State NewE – Putnam Science – 6’1’’ – SF/PF
’22 Rank: #14
I saw Moffitt at practice a couple of weeks ago, and she is one of the most versatile scoring threats in her class. I was impressed with how efficient she is as an inside/out scorer. Moffits’ footwork and post repertoire are elite; most notably, Moffitt flashes across the paint hard and demands the ball. Once she gets the ball one-on-one in the post, she will destroy the defender. On the perimeter, Moffitt is just as tough. She is an exceptional shooter and has the quickness and handle to slash at a high level too.
