Hersey vs Wheaton North
’23 Katy Eidle Katy Eidle 5'11" | CG Hersey | 2023 State #45 Nation IL | 6’0 Elite Combo Guard | Hersey
Fluid as they come. Eidles game is just effortless, to say the least. Finishing the night with 19 points and the win, the Michigan commit locked in her 1000th point in her short career. The talent Katy possesses speaks for itself. Her skillset is patient, to the point, and just overall college-ready
’22 Claire Hyde Claire Hyde 5'6" | CG Wheaton North | 2022 State IL | 5’5 Guard | Wheaton North
A confident sniper who can be the facilitator when needed. Hyde shows the aggression to get her shot off at any time. She can create in the paint, off the dribble, or the triple threat. Claire’s seniority is shown in her game and the blatant high IQ she has.
Libertyville vs. Lake Park
’23 Emily Fisher Emily Fisher 6'0" | SF Libertyville | 2023 State #48 Nation IL | 6’0 Guard | Libertyville
A triple-double is not easy no matter what level you’re playing, but the way Fisher plays… you could see how it’s doable. 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists were stamped for the Maryland commit. Emily’s toughness matched with her “I’ll outwork anyone” mindset is just intriguing to watch. A threat on offense, a defensive stopper, and just max effort from buzzer to buzzer. She can do it all, and she will do it.
’23 Gabrielle Burgess Gabrielle Burgess 5'7" | PG Lake Park | 2023 State IL | 5’6 Guard | Lake Park
Active, energetic, and strong and that’s on both sides of the ball. Gabi’s defense is top tier and that’s what she usually hangs her hat on. Offensively, she can contribute just as much. From the outside, she can knock it down, but when she gets in the paint and creates she goes into another gear.
Buffalo Grove vs. Lake Zurich
’22 Alayna Soukup Alayna Soukup 5'8" | CG Lake Zurich | 2022 State IL | 5’10 Guard | Lake Zurich
High motor, high energy, and a competitor. Soukop makes great play after great play, Her playstyle touches every aspect of the game, she can score the ball, facilitate and defend at every level. The Lewis U commit is solid and is a type of guard that what every team needs.
’22 Leah Mckenna | 6’0 Post | Buffalo Grove
Mckenna is a crutch and a player that her team can count on. Very effective on the boards and a bucket getter around the paint. Defensively she’s a problem for any player that likes to work in the post. Her 6’0 frame allows her to contest and deflect almost anything. She can also defend the permitter and use that length to get some quick steals.
Winnebago vs Rolling Meadows
’22 Miyah Brown Miyah Brown 5'10" | CG Winnebago | 2022 State IL | 5’10 Combo Guard | Winnebago
The athletic, versatile and just pure talented guard has always been the point pusher, but her contribution and energy show up on the court in other ways as well. The Bellarmine commit is a leader and her body language and playstyle show how much pride she takes in that role. Capping the game off with 12 points, Brown was named MVP. Her defense down the stretch was a huge part of that.
’22 Emily Galvan Emily Galvan 5'7" | PG Rolling Meadows | 2022 State IL | 5’6 Combo Guard | Rolling Meadows
A quick and effective shooter, and the best scorer for her team. Emily’s overall scoring ability is what makes her team go, whether in the paint or with the three-ball. Even though they lost the game by 2 ( 41-39), Galvan put up a huge chunk of her team’s points, ending the night with 22 points, and 18 of them coming from behind the arc. A supreme sniper.
