Hersey vs Wheaton North
’23 Meghan Mrowicki | 5’10 Guard | Hersey
Mrowicki shows tons of maturity in the decisions she makes on the court. She can make leading passes for teammates, hard cuts to the basket to score, or create another opportunity for someone else. An efficient player on the boards and both ends of the court. Meghan simply understands the game. High IQ.
’22 Claire Hyde Claire Hyde 5'6" | CG Wheaton North | 2022 State IL | 5’5 Guard | Wheaton North
A threat from deep. Open or covered, she will take them and knock them down. On the drive, she can finish through contact in multiple ways. Shows creativity, great footwork, and body control. A quick guard that can take you off the dribble. Hyde can also make plays for herself or others in the open court. Pinpoint passer. Defensively she can play on ball, jump the lanes, play the gap or show aggression with deflections. An overall talent.
Libertyville vs Lake Park
’23 Ellie Helm | 5’10 Wing | Lake Park
An offensive triple threat and a defensive double threat. Ellie can create and score from behind the arc, the mid, and at the rim. Defensively, she shows the feet to guard the perimeter and the frame to guard the post. On both sides of the glass, she can and will fight. High IQ, strong, athletic, unselfish, and confident. Helm has a huge upside.
’25 Madison Sears | ’6’2 Post | Libertyville
Sears’s potential is high. She’s a mobile big that can stretch the floor defensively. She can switch high on a PNR or retreat low to stop the action in the paint. Offensively, Madison can run in the open floor. When posted on the low block she constantly moves to get good position. Good hands and a good touch off the backboard. Comfortability and time will do nothing but good when it settles in.
Buffalo Grove vs Lake Zurich
’22 Grace Veller | 5’6 Guard | Buffalo Grove
Grace is an outstanding athlete. The stats don’t always show what she does and how she contributes but her presence is felt by her teammates. Defensively she can deflect and show pressure on whoever she’s guarding. A type of player and skill set that is a huge asset to a team.
’23 Brooke Wahlund | 5’10 Wing | Lake Zurich
Lengthy, high motor and a glass cleaner. Brooke has the length and skillset to play the 2-4 with no drop-offs. Defensively, she can guard and control the 1-4, and give problems to a 5. Deflections, steals, and blocks is what she’s about. Offensively, she can stretch the floor and knock down the mid and 3, while also being able to score in the paint and create other opportunities.
Winnebago vs Rolling Meadows
’24 Roisin Grandberry Roisin Grandberry 6'4" | C Rolling Meadows | 2024 State IL | 6’4 Stretch Post | Rolling Meadows
Grandberry is an energetic post that can lock down the paint, and stretch to defend the perimeter if needed. Offensively, she uses a few moves plus her length to score in the post. She can also leak to the mid and the arc to knock down those shots as well. Roisin can facilitate from the paint as well. She has good ball awareness and IQ to be a playmaking post.
’23 Campbell Schrank Campbell Schrank 5'10" | SF Winnebago | 2023 State IL | 5’10 Wing | Winnebago
A quick wing that can get buckets at all levels, especially on the drive and from the arc. When driving to the rim she shows creativity, strength, and poise. She has a quick first step and great body control when she gets inside. Schrank can sink the open three, catch and shoot three, and contested three as well. A high threat level wing. Tremendous upside.
Deerfield vs Simeon
’22 Nakia Bardney Nakia Bardney 6'1" | SF Simeon | 2022 State IL | 6’1 Forward | Simeon
Athletic, versatile, and lengthy. Bardney can do everything you need her to do. She makes great decisions with and without the ball. High ball handling, and great court vision to make accurate passes. She can take you off the dribble and score at the rim or crash the boards and give her team another attempt on the possession. Plug and play type of skillset.
’23 Olivia Kerndt Olivia Kerndt 6'0" | PF Deerfield | 2023 State IL | 6’0 Forward | Deerfield
A lengthy forward who can contribute at each position if called to do so. Efficient behind the arc, at the mid and around the rim. Kerndt can take you off the dribble, stop and pop, or simply knock down the open or contested shot. She always gets underneath the ball, which translates to her efficiency. Her length allows her to be a threat on both sides of the ball, as well as clean the boards. High potential, high upside.
