Joya Crawford – Dyersburg High School
Crawford is a young talent who has so much untapped potential. Right now, she is playing at an extremely high rate scoring at ease and at will. She’s only a freshman and is already a major threat from the three-point line, knocking down multiple threes in all her games. She can shoot it from deep and when her feet are set, she has unlimited range. Crawford has competed in the ultra-competitive AAU Circuit, playing for TN Flight Silver so she is no stranger to competition. Crawford will only get better if she doesn’t get content.
Beth Nelson Beth Nelson 6'0" | SF Oakland | 2022 State TN – Oakland High School (Murfreesboro)
Nelson is a long and rangy player who competes on both sides of the basketball. She can knock down the open three and then defend at a high level. Her athletic build allows her to absorb contact, and not allow it to affect her impact on the game.
Brooke Dowlen Brooke Dowlen 5'11" | SG Jo Byrns | 2022 State TN – Jo Byrns High School (Cedar HIll, TN)
Dowlen is off to a blazing hot start knocking down an impressive 6 threes in their recent game. She has a deceivingly quick shot and often time catches smaller defenders off guard. With Dowlen’s height, if defenders aren’t contesting with high hands, she can still see the rim, allowing her to still have an open shot. The 5’11 forward does not just hang around the three-point line. She also crashes the boards for her team helping control the glass and limiting second-chance points.
Karia McGhee – Millington High School
Mcghee is a lightning-quick guard whose explosiveness is hard to contain. The defensive strategy against her is to give her a step, but when she is knocking down the three she is nearly impossible to guard. However, giving Mcghee a step sometimes is still not enough as she still blows by opponents. Mcghee does not purely rely on her athleticism. When teams are in a two-three zone she finds the gaps and looks for advantageous positions for herself. Mcghee is a tough matchup for even the best of defenders.
Camille Burnette Camille Burnette 6'0" | SF Fayette Academy | 2023 State TN – Fayette Academy
Burnette is a three-point shooter, who calls for the ball and is ready to catch and shoot. Burnette knows what she is good at and contributes to her team in ways that affect winning. She does not try to play outside of her game and do more harm than good. Burnette is only a junior and has time to expand her game to the next level.
