Isabella Stafford Isabella Stafford 5'8" | SG Conroe | 2022 State TX – SG/SF (Conroe)
Stafford amazes me with her versatility of playing multiple positions well. She’s strong and powerfully scores against taller players in the paint, she understands positioning to outrebound them also but she can handle the ball and just whatever she wants in the open court, pull-up jumper is solid and so is this way that she OVERPOWERS other guards
Ja’Nyla Kennedy Ja’Nyla Kennedy 5'8" | PF North Shore | 2022 State TX -SF (North Shore)
Kennedy amazed me before high school after her then club coach gave me a heads up on what was coming and she has been a very solid player in high school. She understands how to score “in the flow” yet she can flip the switch and just go completely off and since she has range and can handle the ball, that gives her numerous options but factor in she also rebounds and defends
Aree Fykes-PG (Mayde Creek)
Fykes is heady and understands how to control tempo which is always something you want from the 1 position yet something else you want is “them having the ability to see the floor” and she made some tough passes look easy. I liked how she created her shot, more importantly, I like it dropping and when she let it go from deep, that was just extra for me
Darcy Swanson-F (Katy)
Swanson is no TV dinner yet she showed some microwaveable still with her pull-up jumper. Her midrange was consistent, that’s a lost art by the way, and she did a good job of setting the defender up with a deceptive first step which enabled her to attack the rim as well. She also handled the ball and showed good court vision
Tireni Oni-F (Hastings)
Oni used her athleticism on both ends of the court nicely. She handled the ball under pressure and finished strongly but the pressure was flipped when she showed it on the defensive side, forcing players into the trap and creating turnovers
Shea McFarland-G (Seven Lakes)
McFarland opened up several doors for her team by being able to knock down the long ball and she did it consistently by creating her shot yet she doesn’t force shots and understands how to set the defender up to also take them off the dribble
Aniya Rhonden-F (Coleyville Heritage)
Rhonden uses her athleticism very well, she immediately grabbed an early steal by playing the passing lane, something I love to see and she also did a good job rebounding on both ends but she scored around the basket, this includes putbacks from offensive rebounding and she played solid defense
