Sydney Grager – Carrington – (6’0/C/2022) – Grager had a huge game for the Cardinals. Her inside presence alone was enough to disrupt Napoleon’s offensive flow. Grager battled all night in the post with opposing forward Teagan Erbele Teagan Erbele 5'9" | PF Napoleon | 2024 State ND winning the war and possibly the battle as well as she scored a game-high 24 points on 11-13 shooting from the floor. Sydney showed efficiency and mobility from each side of the block. Expect her to be kept a closer eye on throughout the rest of the tourney.
Teagan Erbele Teagan Erbele 5'9" | PF Napoleon | 2024 State ND – Napoloeon/G-S – (5’8/PF/2024) – Erbele continues to impress as she battled with Sydney Grager all night on the low post. Erbele is a versatile scorer whose strong work ethic and body build in the post makes her such a huge threat. She finished the night with a double-double having 18 points and snagging 12 rebounds.
Norah Entzi Norah Entzi 5'9" | SF Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier | 2023 State ND – Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier – (5’9/SF/2023) – Entzi whose new to our list stood out big time in EKM’s dominating win over Medina/Pingree/Buchanan. Entzi shot 6-10 from the field. A healthy 60% dropping 16 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Her length and size is what makes Entzi such a dominant defender on the wing or even in the high post. I expect Norah to be a dark horse this year for EKM as she navigates with the rebels through the rest of the tourney.
Olivia Hagen – Ellendale – (6’0/PF/2023) – Hagen at halftime had all the cardinals points in 9. That doesn’t seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things but ended up turning on the after burners and finished with 22 points and had 20 rebounds 9 of which were offensive to put the cherry on top. An overall explosive game for Olivia as she definitely got some heads to turn with that display. It’ll be exciting what she can do next against Griggs/Midkota and how she’ll play against their post players.
Asia Becherl – Griggs/Midkota – (6’1/C/2023) – Becherl put on a display of pure size matters in the game of basketball. She shot over whoever she was guarded by and posed a huge offensive as well defensive threat for the Lady Warriors from Warwick. Becherl finished the game with a player high 17 points and 8 rebounds. Next she and the titans take on the Cardinals of Ellendale with Olivia Hagen which should set up a great match for the battle of giants.
