Mikayla Blakes Mikayla Blakes 5'8" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2024 State NJ – Rutgers Prep
Blakes had a career-high 32 points in a 76-48 win over Camden Catholic, her first 30-point game in high school. Her eight rebounds, five made three-pointers and two blocks were also season-highs. Through three games, Blakes is averaging 17.3 PPG, 3.3 SPG, 5.7 RPG and 3.0 APG for the Argonauts and arguably the team’s best player so far this season.
Ryane Wood – Pennsville
Talk about a statement for the senior, Wood put up a season-high 37 points for Pennsville, who nearly doubled up Triton, 55-28. How Wood has started this season has been a long time coming as she’s now on track to join the 1000 point club and is knocking down well over two three-pointers a game. A 24.4 PPG scoring average isn’t too bad either.
Stephanie Barbosa – Plainfield
Barbosa had her second double-double of the season in a comeback win for Plainfield over Union Catholic. Down eight points at the half, Plainfield stormed back to win a 54-53 thriller and Barbosa’s 14-point, 15-rebound performance was a big reason why. She’s already well on her way to a double-double average this season if she keeps up this early-season success throughout.
Aiyonna Alexander Aiyonna Alexander SF Winslow | 2024 State NJ – Winslow
Winslow entered its game against Camden winless on the season, but Alexander made sure that winless streak stopped, posting a 20-point, 17-rebound double-double along with a block and two steals. It was her second double-double of the season as she’s averaging 12.3 PPG so far as a sophomore. Her ceiling is steadily rising by the game.
Reghan Bice Reghan Bice 5'8" | SF Hillsborough | 2025 NJ – South Hunterdon
Bice has been an early-season star for South Hunterdon and the freshman had her first signature moment in her high school career against Hunterdon Central. She put up a career-high 21 points in a 47-44 win as the Eagles are now 5-1 on the season. So far, Bice has averaged 13.0 PPG through the first six games of the year and is on fire right now.
