Laurel Zlotkowski | Northern Guilford | G
15 points – 5 rebounds – 5 assists – 5 steals
Zlotkowski was contributing in basically all stat categories. She was driving hard to the hoop and showed off her IQ pulling up for a jump shot when she needed to. She crashed boards extending plays on offense. She sees the floor well setting up her teammates for some buckets.
Alex Belton | T.W. Andrews | G
13 points – 5 rebounds – 1 assist – 3 steals – 1 block
Belton was scoring on all levels driving hard to the basket and showing off her range from deep. She snuck inside to grab rebounds, and she was a tenacious defender grabbing steals for her team. She does well moving without the ball, too, finding the openings on the court to put up her shot.
La’niya Simes La’niya Simes 5'10" | SF East Forsyth | 2023 State NC | East Forsyth | SF
10 points – 7 rebounds – 6 steals – 3 blocks
Simes (pictured above) can do it all for her team handling the ball, getting to the basket, and crashing the boards for her own rebounds. She is sneaky getting inside to grab rebounds, and she knows how to track the ball blocking shots from her opponents. She uses various moves to get space between her and her defender to score some points.
Alivia Evans | Quality Education Academy | SF
11 points – 5 rebounds – 4 assists – 2 steals
Evans, who re-classed to 2023, scored three from deep on three separate occasions and added a nice drive to the hoop to get her into double digit scoring. She crashed the boards grabbing rebounds for her team, and her presence inside caused problems on defense. She sees the floor well finding her open teammates for their own jump shots.
