Here is a look at the top Class of 2022 players at Macon.
Lexi Miller Lexi Miller 5'8" | CG Macon | 2022 State MO (Macon): The 5’9″ guard earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after leading the Tigerettes to the championship game. She scored 27 points in the finals, including an impressive 21 in the second half. She is a three-level scorer who can get to the basket off the dribble and hit a step-back 3-pointer with equal effectiveness. She also handles the ball and rebounds well. An excellent all-around player who’s headed to Columbia College.
Mya Miller Mya Miller 5'9" | SF Mexico | 2022 State MO (Mexico) (pictured): The 5’10″ forward was named to the All-Tournament Team. She’s a versatile performer with excellent moves in the post and the ability to beat defenders off the dribble to score and get to the free throw line. She can also handle the ball and play the playmaker role for her team. She also rebounds and plays solid defense inside. Whatever it takes for her team to succeed, she will do.
Corrine Vorkink (Kirksville): A 5’10″ forward who is an excellent all-purpose player on the tournament champions. She’s a very unselfish player who handled the ball and facilitated offense very well. She dropped some impressive dimes that led to easy scores for her teammates. She also scored 10 points in the championship game victory over Macon.
Jordan Thurman (Mexico): A 5’10″ forward who is active and has a versatile skill set. She can grab and rebound and start the break herself and go coast to coast for a layup. She is also a solid offensive player around the basket who can make an open 3-pointer.
