Maxpreps tracks the state’s statistical leaders based on what is inputted into the system by a coach or program director. With the regular season wrapping up and District and Regional playoffs starting up, we take a look at the statistical leaders in Florida. We take a look at the leaders in double doubles this season.
Rose Gravel (Trinity Catholic) – Class of 204
Double Doubles: 19
Points Per Game: 15.4
Rebounds Per Game: 14.2
Games Played: 23
Gravel has had an impressive 19 double doubles in 23 of Trinity Catholics games, averaging 15.4 points and 14.2 rebounds per game. Obviously, Gravel is extremely important to Trinity Catholic success, as the team is 15-4 on the season and two of their four losses has come when Gravel did not get a double double. Gravel had an impressive November, scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds vs Forest, 18 points and 19 rebounds vs The Villages Charter, 18 points and 21 rebounds vs Father Lopez, and 16 points and 14 rebounds vs Leesburg.
Nia Blocton Nia Blocton 6'0" | PF Ridgeview | 2024 State FL (Ridgeview) – Class of 2024 – Wing
Double Doubles: 17
Points Per Game: 16.2
Rebounds Per Game: 12.0
Games Played: 24
Blocton has recorded a double-double in 75% of Ridgeview’s games by averaging 16.2 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. Her top performances were a 22 point and 16 rebound game vs Mandarin on December 7, a 19 point and 21 rebound game vs Trinity Christian Academy on January 3, and then three days later went for 23 points and 15 rebounds vs Fletcher on January 6.
Zeri Tyler (Desoto County) – Class of 2023 – Wing
Double Doubles: 16
Points Per Game: 14.8
Rebounds Per Game: 12.9
Games Played: 19
Tyler has 16 double doubles in 19 games and is averaging 14.8 points and 12.9 rebounds. Tyler is a 5’9 Junior wing who has recorded double digit rebounds in 17 of her teams 19 games and double-digit points in 17 of her teams 19 games as well. Her top individual performances came against Lake Region twice, going for 16 points and 21 rebounds on December 2 and then 27 points and 18 rebounds on January 14.
Sophia McCartney (Neumann) – Class of 2024 – Forward/Center
Double Doubles: 16
Points Per Game: 16.1
Rebounds Per Game: 12.8
Games Played: 23
McCartney is averaging 16.1 points and 12.8 rebounds per game for Neumann. She has grabbed 15 rebounds or more in 8 games and 15 points or more in 13 games, and six times going for 15+ points and 15+ rebounds. Her top two individual performances came against Cardinal Gibbons early in the season on November 17 vs Cardinal Gibbons where she grabbed a season high 19 rebounds and dropped 24 points then later in the season vs Seacrest Country Day, McCartney scored a season high 32 points and grabbed 17 rebounds on December 10.
Jenna Lindsey (Aucilla Christian) – Class of 2022 – Wing
Double Doubles: 16
Points Per Game: 12.1
Rebounds Per Game: 14.2
Games Played: 21
Lindsey has been stellar all season for Aucilla Christian, achieving a double double in 16 of her teams 21 games. And if her double doubles were not impressive enough, two of those double doubles she went for 20+ points and 20+ rebounds, achieving the feat vs Grace Christian Academy on January 4 and then again on January 24 vs Countryside Christian.
Janiyah Jackson Janiyah Jackson 6'2" | C St Augustine | 2022 State FL (St. Augustine) – Class of 2022 – Forward/Center
Double Doubles: 16
Points Per Game: 15.6
Rebounds Per Game: 14.4
Games Played: 19
Jackson has recorded a double double in 84% of St. Augustine’s games en route to leading them to a perfect 19-0 record. Her top performance of the year came against Mainland HS where she scored 21 points, grabbed 23 rebounds and recorded 10 blocks, helping St. Augustine to a big 51-42 win over Mainland.
Ashley Hendricks (Berean Christian) – Class of 2024 – Forward/Center
Double Doubles: 14
Points Per Game: 17.5
Rebounds Per Game: 14.1
Games Played: 17
Hendricks is a talented 6’1 Sophomore who has been putting up big numbers for Berean Christian all season. She has recorded 14 double doubles, averaging 17.5 points and 14.1 rebounds per game in 17 games. In what might have been one of the top statistical performances of the season in Florida, Hendricks scored 28 points and grabbed 27 rebounds (including 21 offensive rebounds) in 32 minutes vs Boca Raton Christian.
