Here is a look at the Top Five Stars from the Park Hill-Lee’s Summit West game.
No. 1 Star: Kennedy Townsend Kennedy Townsend 5'8" | CG Park Hill | 2022 State MO (Park Hill)
The 5’9″ 2022 Creighton recruit scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Trojans to the victory. She showed her versatile scoring ability from all three levels. She is excellent off the dribble and she can hit the 3-pointer. She is also an unselfish player who will set up her teammates.
No. 2 Star: Tasia Johnson Tasia Johnson 5'8" | PG Lee's Summit West | 2022 State MO (Lee’s Summit West)
The 5’6″ 2022 guard finished the game with a team-high 17 points and seven rebounds. She used her quickness and ability to change directions to slash into the lane and get buckets. She knows how to operate in tight spaces with the ball and make plays. She also has quick hands on the defensive end.
No. 3 Star: Anaya Guess Anaya Guess 5'5" | CG Park Hill | 2025 State MO (Park Hill)
The 2025 guard came up with a big performance as she finished with 12 points and five rebounds and a pair of 3-pointers. She came up with some big baskets in the fourth quarter and she hit some free throws down the stretch to help seal the victory. She also played some impressive defense with her on-ball pressure.
No. 4 Star: Bailey Burns Bailey Burns 5'8" | SG Lee's Summit West | 2023 MO (Lee’s Summit West)
The 5’9″ 2023 guard scored 14 points and added nine rebounds and two steals for the Jaguars. She really picked up the pace offensively in the second half when she scored 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers as West managed to stay competitive throughout the game.
No. 5 Star: (Tie) Amaya Blake Amaya Blake 5'8" | CG Park Hill | 2022 State MO (Park Hill), Cady Huffman (Lee’s Summit West)
The 5’8″ Blake finished the game with nine points, four rebounds and three steals in the Trojans’ victory. She’s very strong and can hold defenders off as she gets herself into the lane. She has a nice cross-over dribble and scored on a nice runner in the lane.
Huffman, a 6’6″ 2024 center, had 11 points and five rebounds and had a big presence in the lane on the defensive end. She used her size to get great position inside and she finished well around the basket. She keeps the ball high where nobody can get to it. She also challenged several shots in the paint on defense.
