Sage Kramer Sage Kramer 6'1" | PG Philomath | 2022 State OR continues to add to her long list of accomplishments in her time at Philomath High School. The 6’1 senior guard made history with her most recent performance scoring 51 points at home against Woodburn on Feb. 8.
“It was an impressive night,” Philomath Head coach Ben Silva said about Kramer in an interview with The Philomath News. “I’m not sure what her shooting percentage was but she was very efficient.”
Kramer can light it up from the outside but on this particular night, she made the opponent pay from inside the arc. She finished with 21 total FGs, two 3PTFG’s, and 3 FT’s to hit that 51 point mark and breaking Philomath’s previous record of 47 set in 1987.
She is the do it all player for the Warriors, she can rain three’s from the outside and is seemingly always in the rebounding mix on both ends. Her versatility is a great weapon for her squad and before her offensive explosion against Woodburn, she posted a 33 point, 17 rebound double-double against Sweet Home. She also features a quick-release with her jump shot which makes it hard for opposing defenses to challenge her shot consistently. On defense she is a nightmare in full-court pressure, being able to react quickly and her length helps rack up steals. As a help-side defender, Kramer’s frame helps her tack on some blocks as well. Along with her scoring prowess, Kramer is also a talented passer and makes the right read in the pick and roll or if the defense shifts a double team her way, she’ll always find the right teammate for the score.
While Kramer is already committed to Westmont College in Santa Barbra, CA she is still chasing that elusive state title crown and looking to add another 4A state player of the year to her belt before her time is up at Philomath High.
