The points were coming fast and furious and in the end, it was Nixa coming away with an 84-76 victory. Republic received a tremendous individual performance from standout guard Kaemyn Bekemeier Kaemyn Bekemeier 5'9" | SG Republic | 2023 State MO , but the Lady Eagles were able to overcome it with a well-balanced effort which saw five players score in double figures.
Here is a look at the Top Five Stars from Monday night’s Nixa vs. Republic game.
No. 1 Star: Kaemyn Bekemeier Kaemyn Bekemeier 5'9" | SG Republic | 2023 State MO (Republic): The 5’9″ 2023 was the top offensive player of the night as she scored a game-high 37 points. She has been on a real scoring tear as of late as she’s broken the school record for most points in a game twice last week. She scored from all three levels and in every which way imaginable. She’s physically strong and she can handle any kind of contact and still get to her spots on the floor to get buckets. She had a couple of breathtaking spin moves in the lane for buckets plus the And 1.
No. 2 Star: Norah Clark (Nixa): The 6’1″ 2023 scored a game-high 19 points and really got the Lady Eagles going in the first half. She moves well without the ball and she displayed a nice skill set. She had some nice moves in the low post and she stepped outside and hit the 3-pointer. She used her height to her advantage to keep the ball up and score inside.
No. 3 Star: Ali Kamies Ali Kamies 5'5" | CG Nixa | 2022 State MO (Nixa): The 2022 guard scored 17 points and excelled in several facets of the game. She delivered some very nice passes in the transition game to teammates on the move. She was active on defense to create turnovers and run-out opportunities. She also hit some nice floaters in the lane and a big 3-pointer in the fourth quarter in the midst of a 17-0 Lady Eagles run.
No. 4 Star: Lilly Mahy (Nixa): The 5’9″ 2024 guard came off the bench early and delivered a big performance as she scored 19 points to tie for team-high honors. She really had it going from long distance as she knocked down four 3-pointers. She was very active in the this very up-tempo game and her energy was tremendous.
No. 5 Star: Rhianna Gibbons Rhianna Gibbons 5'6" | CG Nixa | 2022 State MO (Nixa): The 2022 guard scored 17 points as the fourth member of the team to score in double figures on Monday night. She got her share of transition buckets as well, but she also had some nice drives into the lane for scores as well as a nice baseline jumper from 15 feet.
