TATIYANNA WASHINGTON & CHRYSTA NARCISSE
I’ll start with 5 from the top squad
Crystal Hayes-6’5 PF (Madison HS) 2023
Hayes caught my eye at an NCAA certified event a couple of years ago yet no roster was turned in and I didn’t stop by and watch her squad so I kept it moving yet a few months ago, I caught her playing in a fall league game for one of my guys and she showed me a lot yet she’s playing the club season with for ane one of my guys and let me this, 6’5 is the draw. especially when you can drop the jumper, it’s smooth and consistent from mid to long-range yet she’s long and athletic, has good timing, and will be added to the Top 100 on my next update
Chrysta Narcisse-5’9 G ( Lafayette HS, LA.) 2023
Narcisse would definitely be a Top 100 player if she was in Texas, whoa, Top 15 probably yet I caught her a couple of years ago and was definitely impressed yet I’m now overly impressed because of her explosiveness off the dribble coupled with her powerful finishes, this includes after contact, definitely will attract numerous college coaches. She also has a jumper, well she explodes off the ground and her release is quick and fluid but the heart she applied on defense had been running to the cooler and stealing some of the Phenoms water, speaking of steals, she has quick hands
Janavia Gage Janavia Gage 6'3" | C Huntsville | 2023 State TX -6’3 C (Huntsville HS) 2023
Gage was added after catching her with the Lady Thunder a couple of seasons ago yet some things you can’t teach like height, overused expression, and is meaningless unless you can play, but her desire and watching her go after the ball is why I knew what was coming. She is becoming more polished around the basket, she and Hayes are going to be a formidable Twin Towers on whatever PLATFORM their own so I don’t just make things up to take up space, trust me
Tatiyanna Washington-5’11 SF (Fulshear) 2023
Washington needed no notes, I caught the long and athletic immediately as well as her playing the passing lane so that definitely added to the base yet she kept adding with her rebounding strongly on both ends, yes she goes after the ball off the rim, plus her finishes were strong but more than anything, I love her upside because she goes hard no matter what and when you do things like that from yesteryear, I drop the #THROWBACK
Jaya Johnson-5’8 CG (Hightower) 2024
Johnson definitely left me speechless off the top because that first step is devastating but when you add her acrobatic finishes after blowing by the defender, that speaks volumes yet she kept turning it up with her “on the ball” defense, you can’t teach that as well as her court vision and seeing blistering passes in traffic told me even more. I love her energy as well as her upside, maybe I’ll sneak away and catch them at some point
