A lot of these kids were getting their first looks on the high school court. Some got experience as eight graders and beyond. Still, many of these names are under the radar. I will try and avoid some of the high-profile names as many South Florida fans already know the top players in this class.
Let’s jump into it…
Adaya Montalvo Adaya Montalvo 5'8" | CG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL – Miami Slam!
2025 Adaya Montalvo Adaya Montalvo 5'8" | CG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL is a prospect to watch for Miami Slam! The 5-foot-8 shooting guard/small forward averaged nine points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 44 percent from the field. Montalvo also hit nine 3-pointers in limited attempts. Overall, she finished in double-figures in 11 games. Montalvo is also a good rebounding guard as she recorded nine or more boards in six contests. Against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, she grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds. Miami Slam went 17-7 this season.
Julia Vazquez Julia Vazquez 5'5" | CG Kings Academy | 2025 State FL – Cardinal Newman
2025 Julia Vazquez Julia Vazquez 5'5" | CG Kings Academy | 2025 State FL got some experience for Cardinal Newman. The 5-foot-6 guard averaged five points, three rebounds, two assists and 1.8 steals per game across 27 games. Against Armwood (14-9), Vazquez scored a season-high 13 points while grabbing five boards. She also added two other double-figure contests. On defense, Vazquez posted a season-high seven steals against Jupiter Christian. She also grabbed seven boards in a game against Okeechobee. Overall, Vazquez’s defensive ability is already pretty solid.
Riley Stoker Riley Stoker 6'0" | PG Somerset Prep North Lauderdale | 2025 State FL – Western
Riley Stoker Riley Stoker 6'0" | PG Somerset Prep North Lauderdale | 2025 State FL has a bright basketball future. The 6-foot shooting guard averaged 6.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals across 26 games. Stoker also made 17 3-pointers. Against Clearwater (20-7), she scored a season-high 29 points while shooting 10-of-19 from the field. Moreover, she went 5-of-9 from deep. Stoker also scored 20 points on 7-of-10 from the floor against South Plantation. On defense, she recorded ten or more boards in three games. Against Cardinal Gibbons (17-7), she grabbed 11 boards and scored 10 points. Her length and scoring ability gives her a ton of upside.
Lacienega Crockett Lacienega Crockett 5'5" | SG Somerset Prep | 2025 State FL – Dillard
Lacienega Crockett Lacienega Crockett 5'5" | SG Somerset Prep | 2025 State FL earned some playing time for Dillard this season. The 5-foot-6 guard averaged 3.6 per game across 25 games played. Crockett scored a season-high 12 points against Cypress Bay on four 3-pointers. She also hit a 3-pointer in eight other contests. Crockett has some range and should continue to develop in the backcourt. Furthermore, Dillard is a great program to learn under.
Sydney Wilson Sydney Wilson 4'11" | SG Miami Senior HS | 2025 State FL – Miami High
Sydney Wilson Sydney Wilson 4'11" | SG Miami Senior HS | 2025 State FL is a name to know at Miami High. The 5-foot-5 guard averaged 5.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game across 26 contests. Moreover, she went 24-of-56 (43 percent) from deep. Overall, Wilson scored in double-figures in four games. She also dished out 71 total assists. On defense, she recorded three or more steals in 12 games. Miami High went 20-9 overall and reached the Class 7A final before falling to Dr. Phillips.
