I’m going to give you a key matchup and a prediction for the Division 1 and Division 2 semifinals.

Maple City Glen Lake vs. Ypsilanti Arbor Prep

We’ve all heard about the superstar at Arbor Prep, Mya Petticord Mya Petticord 5'9" | PG Arbor Prep | 2022 State #33 Nation MI . She’s a bona fide playmaker and might have the best ball skills in the state of Michigan. Don’t forget about Grace Bradford Grace Bradford PF Maple City Glen Lake | 2022 State MI though, because this athlete can score the ball. She’s a solid shooter that has put up points in bunches at times this season. She surpassed the 1000 point mark this year.

Geers is a versatile worker that prides herself in toughness and the willingness to do the little things. She’ll play whatever role it is that her team needs in order to win. Moorer is a superstar in the making that has all the tools of an elite type player. If Geers can neutralize Moorer, Kent City will have a big advantage.
DIVISION 4
Baraga vs. Fowler
March 17, 5:30PM, at the Breslin Center
Reid Osterman (2022, PG, Baraga) vs. Mia Riley Mia Riley PG Fowler | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Fowler)
These 2 lead guards have both been very effective, but in pretty different ways. Osterman has been setting the table and scoring as needed, as Baraga has rolled through the state playoffs. She’s been incredibly efficient and effective all season. Riley has been more aggressive offensively, using her ball handling to break down the defense and create opportunities for herself and her teammates.

Adrian Lenawee Christian vs. Plymouth Christian
March 17, 7:30PM, at the Breslin Center

Anna Fernandez Anna Fernandez 5'7" | PG Plymouth Christian | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Plymouth Christian) vs. Lizzy Scharer Lizzy Scharer 5'4" | PG Lenawee Chrisrian | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Fernandez and Scharer are excellent at controlling the pace and feel of the game, although they do it in distinctively different ways. Fernandez can shoot the grip of the ball and has in the gym range on her jumper.She and Morganne Houk Morganne Houk 5'7" | SG Plymouth Christian Academy | 2023 State MI form what might be the best pure shooting backcourt in the state. Meanwhile, Scharer attacks the lane with her handles on the right side. She breaks down the defense and creates scoring opportunities for her teammates. Scharer is a terrific decision maker with the ball in her hands.
