Kyla Abraham Kyla Abraham 6'5" | C Smithfield | 2022 State VA 6’5 Smithfield HS #1
A transfer from the great state of Florida Kyla is the lone Power five player in the state of Virginia. Kyla has elite size and athleticism and is a great shot blocker. She runs the floor very well can post up a score on the block at a consistent level. You can tell she has a good touch from 12 to 14 feet from the rim that will get better with time she’s committed to Baylor University!
Alexis Black Alexis Black 5'9" | CG Word Of Life | 2022 State VA 5’9 CG Word Of Life Academy #8
A very physical guard that can get to the basket at a high level. Alexis has very good ball-handling skills and can create her shot at any time. Has a great step-back move it is a very good mid-range and three-point shooter. A relentless player at any time can create her shot going to the basket or from the outside. all-around good skill set she will definitely improve in college and have a great career at Appalachian State University.
Louella Allana Louella Allana 5'6" | PG TPLS Christian Academy | 2022 State VA 5’6 PG I TPLS Christian Academy #13
By way of Canada and North Carolina “Lou” fit in well at TPLS. She was the floor general for that team at the point guard position. She leads the team in steals, three-point percentage, and assists. A great player that has some upside and room to grow a great three-point shooter she will come into her own she’s committed to Robert Morris University.
Amani Melendez Amani Melendez 5'8" | SG Woodbridge HS | 2022 State VA 5’8 CG Woodbridge HS #30
A big is a cool combo guard that uses her sales to her advantage. High IQ player that can start the transition break of rebounds. Her physical nature makes her unguardable in the half-court once she gets a full head of steam. She lead her team in points and rebounds on the season! This was a breakout season for Amani she was asked to step up in multiple ways! That earned her first-team VHSL all-state team and she’s committed to Bridgeport University!
Ally Fleenoer Ally Fleenoer 6'0" | PF Pulaski HS | 2022 State VA 6’0 PF Pulaski County HS #31
What a great career from Ally! She had a lunchpail workmen mentality on the court. She finished as one of the school career leaders in points and rebounds. No doubt she was the anchor for this high school program that came up short last year in the state championship game. This year I thought she got snubbed for the all-state team but top 31 player in the state and committed to UVA-Wise!
Yasmine Brown Yasmine Brown 5'7" | CG Kings Fork | 2022 State VA 5’7 CG Kinds Fork HS #41
All season Yasmine has been a top performer and has taken her game to the next level. This season she had multiple 20 point games! Even at 5’7, she has been a downhill player in and attacks the basket in transition to get a bucket. Her senior leadership help Kings Fork get on a hot playoff streak and bring the state title back to the 757! Can’t ask for a better season than this first-team all-state and VHSL class 4player a year!
