Aliyah Duval Aliyah Duval 5'8" | CG Choctaw | 2026 State OK | Wing | BTR 2026 | 2026
I love watching players that play with a little bit of swagger. I can easily tell if a player is confident in their abilities and if they believe they belong on the court with the competition. Aliyah has just that. This guard has a nice-looking shooting form that can make shots from various spots on the floor. She has a smooth handle that allows her to make simple but effective combo moves that allow her to get into the lane to make plays. She has a nice finish package with good footwork that allows her to remain on balance and under control to avoid charges. She can push it in transition with good decision-making skills. She knows when to finish, make the pass, or when to bring it out. Defensively, she gives great effort, especially when guarding the ball. She gets in her help spots early and is always aware and alert of the offense.
Demy Howard | Guard | DC Queens 2027/Hefner | 2027
It can be tough for some players to play up an age division and have some success. But I can’t say that for Demy. This 7th grader not only held her own in this division, but she also showed her potential and that she was one of the better guards over the weekend. The first thing I noticed was her tenacity on defense. Her on-ball pressure was some of the best I’d seen by any guard in this division. She’s a tough, physical, hard-nosed player that plays with grit. Offensively, she made the spot-up three-pointer. In one game she actually made three from behind the line. But that’s not all she can do. Demy could also break down the defense off the dribble and attack the basket. She could finish herself or drop off passes in traffic to the player down low for the easy bucket.
Kinley Lewis Kinley Lewis 5'11" | SF Denton Ryan | 2026 State TX | Forward | Lady Sparks 2026/Scott | 2026
Kinley is a raw, long, athletic player that got my attention quickly. Standing around 5’10 or so she mainly uses her athletic ability for her defense and to be a threat on offense. I am here to put everyone on notice. When Kinley figures some things out…WATCH OUT! She is a multi-sport athlete that has only been playing basketball for one year. So her offensive skills need some work, but if she gets in the gym and really spends time on her footwork, ball handling, and shooting, she will easily be able to play at the next level if she chooses. She was the best leaper in the gym. Kinley showed off her jumping ability by grabbing the rim two times in a row after a game. Click HERE if you want to see her jumping ability. Her athletic ability, knack for rebounding, and anticipation on defense, skies the limit for this prospect.
Yonae Edwards Yonae Edwards 5'10" | PF Union | 2026 State OK | Wing/Forward | Id3nity Elite 2026-Pitts/Broken Arrow | 2026
I loved watching Yonae play because she plays the game with passion and 100% effort. I could easily tell how competitive she was and that she was willing to do whatever her team needed to win. She’s was the tallest player on her team so that meant she had to play the post some and defend the opposing team’s post player even though she is more of a wing player. But she didn’t back down from anyone. She aggressively went after every rebound she could. If she secured the defensive rebound she was off to the races. If she didn’t secure the defensive rebound she still sprinted down the floor looking to grab any missed shot from a teammate or looking to fill the lane for a pass to make a play. She could also attack off the dribble and finish with either hand around the rim in traffic or over a defender.
Sami Sheaffer Sami Sheaffer 6'0" | SG Oklahoma Union | 2026 State OK | Post/Forward | OK Lady Fusion 2026/Oklahoma Union | 2026
Sami was really consistent throughout the weekend. Each time I was able to watch her team play she came with the same energy and effort on both ends of the floor. Offensively she has a nice skillset to work with. She’s a threat from deep. She can make the catch and shoot three which causes the defense to close out hard. She also has the ability to attack off the catch. If the three-ball is taken away she can put the ball on the floor and make the mid-range pull-up jumper or finish at the rim. Sami is also a playmaker in transition. She’s always under control and looks to make the right decision during the fastbreak.
