We released an updated rankings for the class of 2022 this week. Earlier in the week we took a look at the top 10 and today we look at the 2022 stock risers!

Hermione Hicks Hermione Hicks 5'8" | SG Mater Academy Charter | 2022 State FL (Mater Academy Charter) – 5’9 Guard/Wing/Forward
New Ranking: 125 Previous Ranking: 297
Hicks makes one of the biggest jumps, moving up over 150 spots from # 297 all the way to # 125. She was a bit of an unknown to us when she hit the rankings last time and she had a big Senior year for Mater Academy Charter, which jumps her up as our biggest stock riser! She averaged 19 points and 12.2 rebounds to go alone with 3.9 steals per game including multiple 30 point games including dropping 31 and 13 on St Brendan January 18 and following that up just a couple weeks later with 33 points and 16 rebounds v Coral Park in February. The 5’9 Senior is a versatile scorer that can play multiple positions.
Maya Llanes Maya Llanes 5'5" | SG Zephyrhills HS | 2022 State FL (Zephyrhills HS) – 5’8 Guard/Wing
New Ranking: 136 Previous Ranking: 300
Llanes, like Hicks, makes major move up the rankings, jumping up 150 spots. Zephyrhills High School finished 20-8 and a 10-2 record in 5A District 6 falling in the regional tournament to Lake Wales. Llanes was a huge reason for the team’s success, averaging a double-double the unconventional way 17.5 points and 10.5 steals per game, leading the team in both categories, and finishing 2nd on the team in rebounding averaging 6.9 rebounds per game.
Karimah Nix Karimah Nix 6'0" | SF Boca Ciega | 2022 State FL (Boca Ciega) – 5’11 Guard
New Ranking: 173 Previous Ranking: 312
Walk in the gym and have to face Boca Ciega this year, there was a triple headed monster waiting for you! Olivia Delancy Olivia Delancy 6'0" | SF Bogie HS | 2022 State FL , Alexis Staton Alexis Staton 5'9" | CG Boca Ciega | 2022 State FL , and Karimah Nix Karimah Nix 6'0" | SF Boca Ciega | 2022 State FL all averaged double-digit points as Seniors that is year and accounted for 73% of their teams’ points. Nix was extremely consistent throughout the season and had several 20+ point games. Nix is an aggressive penetrator, driving to the basket fearlessly and getting to the free throw line often. She plays with a passion and energy that is infectious amongst her teammates and often gave them a big boost to lead them to victory!
Gabby Anderson Gabby Anderson 5'10" | SF IMG Academy | 2022 State FL (IMG Academy) – 5’10 Wing
New Ranking: 46 Previous Ranking: 179
Anderson, along with Kailyn Gilbert Kailyn Gilbert 5'8" | CG IMG Academy | 2022 State FL and Grace VanSlooten Grace VanSlooten 6'3" | PF IMG Academy | 2022 State #23 Nation FL were a huge part of IMG Academy success this season and invite to the GEICO Nationals. Anderson, who transferred from Ohio to IMG Academy, is a 5’10 wing who is headed to Harvard next year. The athletic, versatile scorer moves up 100 spots to # 46 in the final rankings of the class of 2022. In addition to being a very talented basketball player, Anderson is a talented artist who does customization of sneakers as one of her many skills!
Karla Quintero Karla Quintero 6'1" | PF SLAM! Miami | 2022 State FL (SLAM! Academy) – 6’1 Forward
New Ranking: 180 Previous Ranking: 313
SLAM! Academy out of Miami had a monster season and 6’1 Forward Karla Quintero Karla Quintero 6'1" | PF SLAM! Miami | 2022 State FL was a big part of the team’s success. She moves up over 100 spots after averaging 10.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game helping lead her squad to a 17- record and an appearance in the regional tournament! Quintero is a big presence in the paint, who uses her strong build, and low center of gravity to move players around on the interior, sealing on the block, getting low post position and being an impactful rebounder on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor! The Forward recently signed with College of Coastal Georgia.
Ameari Logan Ameari Logan 5'9" | CG Florida A&M | 2022 State FL (Florida A&M) – 5’9 Shooting Guard
New Ranking: 110 Previous Ranking: 218
Logan was Florida A&M’s go to player this season, leading them in points (19.2), rebounds (5.2), and steals (6.9) helping lead them to a 2A District 2 Championship and a 15-4 record. Logan is a strong guard, with a solid frame, who does excellent vs aggressive opponents, getting into the paint and finishing vs contact. She uses her strong build and broad shoulders to get to the free throw line. She as particularly very good in December when she dropped 30 points in back-to-back games going for 30 points vs Orange Park and following that up 5 days later with 32 points vs Gadsden County. Logan moves up 100 spots to # 110 in the final rankings for the class of 2022.
Kahliya Gaitor Kahliya Gaitor 5'0" | PG Calvary Christian | 2022 State FL (Calvary Christian Academy) – 5’1 Point Guard
New Ranking: 163 Previous Ranking: 254
Gaitor had a strong Senior season for Calvary Christian, helping lead them all the way to the state championship game this season in 4A. The 5’1 point guard is quick with the ball in her hands, aggressive attacking the rim and in the open court. She likes to play downhill and get into the paint, either to create a shot for herself or to penetrate and kick for an open shot for a teammate. She moves up 90 spots and finishes the season ranked # 165 in the class of 2022.

This is the fourth and final rankings for the class of 2022. We have taken a look at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games.

Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
