PGH 2022 Rankings Update: New Additions

Prep Girls Hoops Michigan recently updated it’s class of 2022 prospect rankings! There are now over 300 ranked athletes in the senior class. As always, there was a group of newcomers to the list. Some that recently earned there way into the rankings and some that may have belonged before that finally got their just reward. Let’s look at a few of the newcomers to the class of 2022’s prospect rankings. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414651" first="Ella" last="Castelucci"] (SG, Edwardsburg)</strong> Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #187 Castelucci had a huge senior season, helping her Edwardsburg team get all the way to the quarterfinals in the state playoffs. She was a consistent scoring option for her team all season long. When she got the ball in space, she was a nightmare to stop. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414638" first="Erishea" last="Chambers-Jones"] (PG, Detroit Southeastern)</strong> Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #205 Chambers-Jones proved to be a very opportunistic scorer that didn’t have to force the issue to score the ball. She really stood out on the defensive end. Chambers-Jones had a nose for the ball on D and was able to get handfuls of steals. She even did so without swiping at the ball and getting herself into foul trouble. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414699" first="Maddie" last="Wiersema"] (C, West Michigan Christian)</strong> Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #224 Wiersema is a high upside post player. She’s an outstanding all around athlete that moves well in the paint and is comfortable going horizontally. Wiersema is a bonus in the paint simply because she can get it done on both ends of the floor. She forced teams to game plan around her D all season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="336022" first="Nivea" last="Clark"] (CG, Hamtramck)</strong> Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #241 [player_tooltip player_id="336022" first="Nivea" last="Clark"] is the definition of a team player. She had some wiggle to her game that allowed her to get buckets, but her game was so much more than that. Clark always had her head up and eyes on a swivel, ready to hit an open teammate with a crisp and accurate pass. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414692" first="Marybeth" last="Halonen"] (SG, Calumet)</strong> Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #258 Halonen is a good old fashioned grinder when she hits the hardwood. She constantly wins hustle points and puts her team at an advantage even before the ball is tipped. Halonen is a leader that teammates want to, and will, follow. She proved all season that she was willing to take the big shot and able to make it as well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414672" first="Emily" last="Grant"] (CG, Lake Leelanau St. Mary)</strong> Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #296 Grant had a standout senior season and it ended with the honor of being named an AP Division 4 All-State player. She was the essence of consistency throughout the season, always finding a way to positively contribute to or influence her team. Grant was a leader that enjoyed the pressure of guiding her team. &nbsp;
