Preview: 2022 Prospect Rankings Update

The updated Michigan class of 2022 prospect rankings are on their way soon! There will be high risers, new additions, players that cement their position and more. There will be over 275 players ranked in the new list. Let’s take a look at some of what’s to come in the updated rankings. <h3>THE FAMILAR</h3> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147744" first="Olivia" last="Dirkse"] (CG, Davison)</strong> Dirkse has earned her way among the elite guards over her 4 years of high school basketball. She started out as a quality shooter and developed into a lead guard that could score as well as distribute. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="179103" first="Abby" last="Rey"] (SF, Midland Dow)</strong> Rey is ready to take her game to Lawrence Tech next season. She’s a solid shooter and a terrific 2 way player. Defense travels and Rey will be proof of that over the course of the next 4 years. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147748" first="Hannah" last="Toutant"] (C, Macomb Dakota)</strong> Toutant can be an inspiration to players that have a dream of college basketball. As a freshman, few would have predicted that Toutant would a next level player. Well, now the gritty post player is ready to take her talents to Lake Superior State. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147713" first="Ruby" last="Whitehorn"] (PG, Detroit Edison)</strong> The Clemson commit will come as no surprise as she’s held the number 1 spot since her classes initial ranking. The playmaker can do it all, and in my opinion, will be a force at the next level. <h3>THE NEW</h3> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414698" first="Emily" last="Bender"] (SG, Sandusky)</strong> Bender showed the ability to put some points on the board in her senior season. She earned an AP Division 3 All-State acknowledgement in the process of earning her way on the prospect rankings. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414706" first="Megan" last="Bennett"] (C, Mcbain Northern Michigan Christian)</strong> Bennett’s play in the paint earned her a spot in the prospect rankings. She does a lot of work with her back to the basket off both blocks. Bennett has a nice little spin move that helps her get good looks over both shoulders. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414663" first="Megan" last="Lautner"] (PF, Traverse City West)</strong> Lautner will be able to find her name among the ranked senior basketball prospects after being named Honorable Mention All-State and 1st team All Big North Conference. She’s terrific when fed the ball at the free throw line, where she takes 1 or 2 power dribbles and finishes at the rim. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="414653" first="Adi" last="Sysum"] (SG, Eaton Rapids)</strong> Sysum is a multi sport star that secured a spot on the list of excellent basketball players in the class of 2022. She’s a solid all around athlete that rebounds and scores at a high level. Sysum hit some really big shots in crunch time for her Eaton Rapids team this season. &nbsp;
