You can find the 17u standouts in the articles below.
Anayya Davis (2025, Michigan Goonies 2024, Henry Ford)
Davis was tremendous at the Great Lakes Challenge. She was a matchup nightmare for her opponents with her ability to score at all 3 levels. Even playing up, Davis was perfectly comfortable being depended on as a primary scorer.
Hailey Freshcorn Hailey Freshcorn 5'8" | PG Columbia Central | 2024 State MI (2024, MSF Flight 2024, Onsted)
Freshcorn was flat out one of the most impressive players regardless of age or division. She showed the ability to get hot from behind the arc, like she did burying 2 triples in 20 seconds and changing the momentum of a game on Sunday morning. Freshcorn is solid as a primary ball handler and is a positive team leader that her teammates will rally around.
Sarah LaPrairie Sarah LaPrairie 5'7" | PG Stoney Creek | 2024 State MI (2024, PR1DE 2024, Stoney Creek)
Laprairie played a very aggressive style of basketball throughout the weekend. She put the ball on the floor and consistently and effectively attacked the rim. Laprairie was also very solid as a bal handler and facilitator.
Taylor Lockhart (2024, TC Elite 2024, Stockbridge)
Lockhart was tremendous on the offensive glass. She had multiple put back opportunities and converted on most of them. Lockhart rebounded high, kept the ball up, and put it back at the rim.
Madison Morson Madison Morson 5'8" | SG Plymouth Salem | 2024 State MI (2024, Michigan Lady Playmakers 2024, Plymouth Salem)
Morson proved to be a headliner at the Great Lakes Challenge. She was a superior all around athlete with tremendous ease of movement. Morson could slash and attack the defense as well as anyone in her team’s bracket. She could finish at the rim as well as pull up on a dime and bury a jumper.
Abigail Resovsky Abigail Resovsky 5'9" | SF Salem | 2024 State MI (2024, Michigan Lady Playmakers 2024, Plymouth Salem)
Resovsky really made a statement about her game on Sunday. She was working hard on the block with her back to the basket. Resovsky effectively established position on the offensive end, which helped her earn scoring opportunities and aided in her dominating the glass.
Gracee Robidou Gracee Robidou 5'6" | CG Stockbridge | 2024 State MI (2024, MSF Flight 2024, Stockbridge)
Robidou caught my eye early in the event and was impressive at every turn from there on out. She worked really well off the deep corner and the baseline. Robidou showed the ability to bury a jumper without hesitation off the catch. She was also more than solid filling a wing in transition as well as drawing contact and finishing.
Lauren Spencer (2024, HYPE Athletics 2024, Detroit Edison)
Spencer is just full of upside as a player and prospect. She can really sneak up on her opponents, making big plays in bunches. Spencer always finds a way to have an influence on the game. She’s definitely a name for college coaches to remember.
