College coaches are always in search of quality post players. That being said, let’s take a look at a few of the ranked 2025 post players that coaches and fans should keep an eye on.
Alyssa Carson Alyssa Carson 6'0" | PF Buchanan | 2025 State MI (PF, Buchanan)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #15
Carson is in good hands at UTS and I’m excited to see the type of player that she’ll become. She has a solid mid range game and moves well in that area of the floor. Her ability to play outside-in or inside-out will have college coaches very interested.
Gabby Gerald Gabby Gerald 6'0" | C Wayne Memorial | 2025 State MI (C, Lake Fenton)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #23
Gerald has been impressive with Michigan Storm so far this spring. She’s combined her power and strength with her fluid movement, which has looked very impressive. She can score and defend at the 5.
Ruby Jansen Ruby Jansen 6'1" | PF Marian | 2025 State MI (PF, Marian)
Jansen has a ton of upside as a basketball player. She can dominate with power under the rim, but can also shake a post defender with her feet. Jansen rebounds high and secures the ball.
Leilah Howard Leilah Howard 5'11" | PF Salem | 2025 State MI (PF, Plymouth Salem)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #52
Howard can expect to rise up the rankings if she continues to develop her game at the rate she’s going. She could probably play 4 positions in high school basketball. Howard can attack from the perimeter as well as battle in the paint. She has good length and knows how to use it on D.
Kennedy Gustafson Kennedy Gustafson 6'0" | PF Saugatuck | 2025 State MI (PF, Saugatuck)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #56
Gustafson will be making a lot of noise over the next few years. She’s a solid all around athlete that can play a physical game as well. She battles for position under the rim. Gustafson can play through contact and has quick hands.
Morgan Kuhl Morgan Kuhl 5'11" | PF Hanover Horton | 2025 State MI (PF, Hanover Horton)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #70
Kuhl got it done on both ends of the floor as a freshman. She consistently saw her game hit all corners of the stat sheet during her freshman season. Kuhl will be a constant double-double threat over the next few years.
