I've mentioned some players that did some damage in the paint in previous articles, including [player_tooltip player_id="309648" first="Taylor" last="Ross"] (SA Lady Hoops) who made 2nd Team All-Tournament yet other layers caught my eye in the Elite Division doing damage so as I close this division on here, you can pick up more on my website [player_tooltip player_id="311899" first="Zanyra" last="Adams"]-5'7 SF (Brennan HS) SA Lady Hoops Black Adams is definitely a #THROWBACK player simply because of what she does and who she does it against, remember "it's not what you do, it's who you do it against" and her sheer desire to battle for rebounds has always impressed me yet I guess having UPS helps yet her athletic ability just creates problems because she can score by elevating for baskets as well as apply pressure defensively, I'm talking "on the ball" baseline to baseline or guarding taller players on the inside Ti'Miah Jackson (Steele HS) SAHE Gold JK [2023] Jackson did more than 5 things that impressed me yet her "hands and footwork" started it off. She understands how to use her body around the basket and she finished strongly after contact, I also enjoyed watching her defend, both inside and outside the paint but she goes after the ball off the rim, that's a big plus for me and her putbacks were consistent, she's strong and her agility was nice, nice upside Lexi Arzate-5'11SF (Waco Midway) Austin Elite RFW [2024] Arzate has multiple tools on the offensive end, her upside is very nice, and so is her ability to slice to the basket from the wing as well as score around the basket, either using nice moves or scoring off the offensive rebound yet I think what really did it for me, even more, was her consistency from the midrange, that gives her options because she can put it on the floor and score as I mentioned with her slicing to the basket [player_tooltip player_id="206968" first="Kendall" last="Beck"]-6'2 C ( HOMESCHOOL) Austin Elite RFW [2024] Beck is ready and after I missed her during the HOMESCHOOL playoffs in Houston, she was out with an injury, I was happy to see her doing what had me add her to the Top 100 a couple of years ago. Her size, her mobility, her skillset, and even more importantly, her mindset as she understands the simple things yet can make it hard for defenders to guard her. She scores with either hand around the basket, she also can face the basket and score but her rebounding on both ends, understanding how to start the outlet, and nice timing to block, alter or deflect shots were all looking good Naya Burleson-6'1 PF/C (Hays HS) STAT Elite [2025] Burleson has her own factory of tools and it's coated with options starting with she's "long and athletic" which will always be the base yet I'm digging her movement without the ball and her ability to react quickly on defense, either the switch or coming in on the help side but she also scores off the dribble, she rebounds strongly and scores off putbacks but her finishing strongly after contact needs to be mentioned as well as her upside Sophie Zadel-6'2 C (Alamo Heights) SAHE Gold 2025 Zadel gave me a good first look, a nice frame and she understands how to use it. She plays within herself, which means she doesn't force anything yet she showed she could score in the paint. She also rebounded on both ends, and at 74 inches as well as being a freshman, she's definitely one to watch out for, yes I will, nice upside
