We released an updated ranking for the class of 2023 this week. Let’s take a look at part two of the class of 2023 Newcomers!
You can take a look at the Class of 2023 Rankings HERE:
Camryn Robinson Camryn Robinson 5'6" | CG Nease | 2023 State FL (Nease HS / FGB) 5’6 Guard
Overall Rank: 127
Robinson established herself as one of the top players in St Johns county and was extremely consistent offensively for Nease. Robinson was used in multiple ways for a talented Nease squad, taking on point guard duties, establishing herself as a steady number two option on the offensive end averaging 15+ points per game while knocking down 2+ 3s per game. Not just an offensive threat, Robinson consistently took on guarding the other team’s best player and did a good job getting in passing lanes and applying ball pressure, averaging 3.1 steals per game.
Jayla Washington Jayla Washington 6'2" | C Lennard | 2023 State FL (Lennard HS / The Compound) 6’2 Center
Overall Rank: 164
Got a chance to see Washington at the 2022 Sunshine State Showdown. Where post players are few and far in between these days, Washington was a solid and consistent presence in the post. She did a good job on both the offensive and defensive boards, moves well for her size, and when she wasn’t blocking shots, she did a good job deterring shots.
Sara Williams Sara Williams 5'6" | CG All Saints Academy | 2023 State FL (All Saints Academy) 5’6 Guard
Overall Rank: 167
Williams was one of the top scorers in the Junior class during the 2021-22 season for All Saints Academy. Leading All Saints to an impressive 13-2 record, Williams averaged 23.6 points per game, including multiple 40-point games.
Ty’Asia Childs (OBC 11th) 5’8 Wing
Overall Rank: 168
Childs was impressive at the 2022 Sunshine State Showdown, serving as the Orlando Basketball Club go-to scorer for their 11th grade squad. The 5’8 Wing played multiple positions. She put the ball to the floor aggressively, attacking from the wing and baseline, getting into the paint and scoring at the rim.
Jordyn Chin-You Jordyn Chin-You 5'11" | PF Nova | 2023 State FL (Nova HS / FGB Running Rebels) 5’11 Forward
Overall Rank: 192
5’11 Wing/Forward Jordyn Chin-You Jordyn Chin-You 5'11" | PF Nova | 2023 State FL was a go-to player for Nova this season. She has a big frame for a hybrid wing/forward and does a good job rebounding from the perimeter, mixing it up in the paint and attacking the rim off 1-2 bounces to score in the paint.
Lynn Reith Lynn Reith 5'6" | SG Holy Trinity | 2023 State FL (Holy Trinity / East Coast United) 5’6 Guard
Overall Rank: 220
Reith was a bright spot for Holy Trinity this season, establishing herself as a consistent double digit scorer, averaging 11.5 points to go along with 4.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 3.6 steals per game. A lot of her damage was done from the outside, shooting 34% from 3 and making just under two 3-pointers per game. She continued that hot outside shooting into travel ball and was one of the leaders of the East Coast United 2023 Richardson team that won their bracket at the 2022 Sunshine State Showdown due to her ability to knock down open 3s.
Katelyn Hagy (Eau Gallie / East Coast United) 6’0 Wing
Overall Rank: 221
Hagy is a big wing/forward who averaged a double-double this season for Eau Gallie (11.6 points and 10.2 rebounds). She was very good all season, logging big time minutes, playing most of the game and impacting the game on both ends. She recorded double digit rebounds in 14 games and double-digit points in 17 of 25 games. Many of her top performances came early in the season in November when she went for 12 and 12 vs Rockledge, 13 points and 15 rebounds vs Merritt Island, 15 points and 15 rebounds vs Melbourne Central Catholic, and 15 points and 13 rebounds vs Bayside.
